- Channel 5 News fail last night. Pretty funny.
- Local Republican Chairman Allen Williamson has a lot of clout when it comes to filling vacant judgeships -- even at the court of appeals level.
- You guys sure seem grumpy lately.
- More baseball trouble: On Wednesday, both Baltimore and Cleveland had their lowest attendance in their current stadium's history.
- Obama's tax bill was $1,792,414. If you aren't sympathetic because he made so much money, you are advocating "taxing the rich" aren't you?
- And everyone does realize, don't you, that the current income tax rate has nothing to do with Obama or the Democrat controlled Congress?
- I like Mark Davis as a radio host but he is so over the top on TV. Buddy, you don't have to yell into the mic. (Evidence: Fox 4 last night where he was interviewed after hosting the Tea Party in Grand Prairie.)
- There was a bad crash last night in Dallas where a car went off a bridge (possibly due to street racing.) Channel 5's kinda hawt Kim Fischer posted this cell phone pic of the car as it was hoisted from a creek bed. Oh, my.
- I dated a gal named Kim Fischer once.
- I'm into week six of Nutrisystem and have lost 7 to 8 pounds. I've been keeping track of it in a spreadsheet, and I may post it in the future. It's amazing how your body gets used to smaller portions.
- Months and months ago, I referenced in Random Thoughts that if you're a basketball fan you'd have to suffer through a krillion boring Mavs games only to see them get bounced in the first or second round of the playoffs. I'm sticking with that.
- I may go see Date Night this weekend. Looks funny.
- If you haven't seen all the campers out at the Speedway on race weekend, you should. It's quite the sight.
- Above the fold (not bad):

I have a banana, an apple and a V8 for lunch every day. Then I can eat normal food at dinner. I have lost 35 Pounds since Christmas. Exercise is minimal but just because of my old knees carrying too much weight...I don't think I could do Nutrasystems. But more power to ya.
The difference between these two girls and those in the Tax Day Pick Me Up is that at age 50 these two will be fat and in wheelchairs at Walmart, whereas the two from yesterday will still be pleasant to look at. That is the price of big boobs/hips. A matter of genetics and harmones.
They may not be responsible for the income tax but why don't you look at the estate tax that will take effect again next year. I believe it is called the "Sunshine Act." Bush suspended it and Obama lifted the suspension. It starts around 55% and goes up from there.
Why have anything?
That foreclosure headline could be deceiving, unless you look closer and realize it is relevant only to north Texas. Nation wide foreclosures were up 35% in the first quarter compared to last year.
I first thought the goof was going to be that she said 'big crowds' as they showed a mostly empty seating area.
Are your sure your dates name wasn't actually KEN Fischer?
BG, will the Russian adoption brewhaha impact your choice for ms. green number 6?

For the majority of Wise County residents who will be avoiding the Metroplex this weekend due to the beating @ Tx Motor Speedway, why not come out to Bridgeport HS tonight @ 5pm to watch the District Track Championships! This is the last year for Decatur & Bridgeport to be part of the Wichita Falls district (no more 3 hour bus rides to Vernon) and, if yesterday's prelims are any indication, could be some EXCITING races......DHS and BHS look good! Barry, you being a local celebrity (of sorts) AND a BHS alum, should come out. Maybe they'll even recognize you between events!
Girl on left---- HORSEFACE!!!!!! Makes Sarah Jessica Parker look normal.
Did you see King Obamy's approval level hit ANOTHER LOW?
Obama's donations only added up to around 7%. That is pitiful to make that much money and give to charitable organizations at such a low level. UNTHINKABLE!
Thanks for calling attention to the Bush tax rate cuts which are due to "expire" this year. (Why do tax cuts have an expiration date, but not tax hikes?) If they are extended, you can thank Bush and the Republican Congress for passing them in the first place. If they are allowed to expire, and tax rates go up, you can thank Obama and the Democrat-controlled Congress.
(And before anyone starts the "for the rich" line, note that the top 20% of wage earners now pay a larger percentage of all federal income taxes than they did before the cuts.) Sources here and here.
Girl pics are starting to trend downward.
And another thing: the Obamas only became "rich" after he entered politics. Before he decided to run for President, they had given little to charity, sometimes less than 1%, according to the New York Times. Apparently the Obamas view charitable donations as just another political obligation (along with hosting the annual Easter Egg roll and paying off the unions.)
Blog itself is starting to trend downward. I think the death nail is near.
You could always do an above the fold of the Messenger too.

I think you mean "death knell" instead of "death nail", but death nail did make me laugh...its like death knell with a Texas accent.
Double Fake Edgar Allan Poe
Looking forward to the spreadsheet about as much as I am to see the list of Joe Biden's charity contributions.
It wouldn't make any difference if Obama gave every dime he made to charity. Your loyal haters would say he gave it to the wrong charities.
I found Nutrisystem just plain nasty.
Ok..ok DF EAP, how about the "Dead Bell" is near. That is something I can spell correctly...damn spelling/grammer police get me every time! I think I am going to start posting my son's schoolwork on this blog so I can make sure it is proof-read! Ride, boldly ride,"

1051 - Hypothetically -- since you're stating only your own theory -- you may be correct. You are just as likely to be wrong.
Man its a long haul to Iceland and boy are my segments tired.

Barry -
I haven't been grumpy, but I have felt a tad bilious for the last few days. Must be the onset of manopause.
My Other Brother Darryl
ps - my better half just punched me for the manopause comment.
wordkyle -- since you are only stating your opinion you are most likely wrong.

I'm not the Grammar Nazi. I didn't say a word about "harmones" coming from 8:41 earlier today. I wanted to say something, but I didn't.
But now, I feel compelled to say something about "harmones", which should be "hormones", obviously.
Thanks for forcing me back to my OCD ways 11:24.

407 - Which opinion is that?
10:51...well if Obama gave all his income it would probably be to the Retired Domestic Terrorist Fund or Commies with a Dream. Then you are right I would complain...but he doesn't and I don't. He's still a douche.
Really?
You guys are judging the appropriateness of Obama's charity donations on his income tax form - this year and in the past?
You really think you are qualified to pass judgment on that?
Unbelievable.
And BTW, don't any of you think it is possible that some people might donate to charity without keeping receipts and claiming on income tax??
Plus, many situations present themselves when you can help people financially and they aren't a tax exempt entity. Who cares?
Why would you think that what is on the income tax form is the only money people donate to worthy causes or people?
Liberal progressives only like to give away other people's money.
"Obama's tax bill was $1,792,414. If you aren't sympathetic because he made so much money, you are advocating "taxing the rich" aren't you?"
What function, service, or product has either Obama or his wife provided to society to earn enough money to be taxed at that level? I'm not advocating taxing the rich (who invest, produce substantive consumables, or employ people in paying jobs); I'm advocating taxing the hell out of societal leeches.
We are grumpy because it's tax time and most of us are the working class that pay for all the slackers.......
838 - I compared the Obamas' charitable donations listed on their tax returns since he decided to run for President to those he filed before he made that decision. It's an apples-to-apples comparison, upon which I based my opinion. Does it bother you that they decided to donate more to charity when they realized their finances would be made public?
(Side note: Obama's stated philosophy is to "spread the wealth around." Why did the Obamas take any deductions?)
4:07 - Wordie states everybody else's opinion through research then adds his own boring afterthoughts.

11:24 - it isn't hormones it is hairmones.
WK - My comment still stands -I don't understand why in the world you think you should judge what someone does or does not give to charity?
No it doesn't bother me that he put more when he knew people would be looking, if in fact that was his motivation, which neither you nor I know. If it was, maybe he knew there would be people like you, doing what you do when it comes to the President. Or maybe not. Who knows?
Main thing though - I don't believe you get to evaluate/grade/value as good or bad - what people give to charity. It's not your place - or anyone else's.
642 - I'm not judging what Obama "does or does not give to charity." Based on the evidence, I reached a reasonable conclusion as to his motivation for giving to charity - that the Obamas gave more generously when it was politically expedient. This undercuts his credibility any time he uses "helping those less fortunate" as an argument for one of his policies. Feel free to arrive at a different conclusion -- but my logic is sound.
737 - When I become the topic of the conversation, I know I've won the argument. Thanks for conceding.
