- Bridgeport and Decatur argue about artificial turf for a football field.? Look what Allen ISD is building.
- The top of my ears are sunburned and peeling. That's not a good look.
- There was wreck yesterday near Bridgeport between a delivery truck and a SUV (whose driver walked away before cops arrived.) It's amazing they couldn't find her.
- There was a jewelry party in my office last evening. We're losing control.
- WBAP's Hal Jay told the story this morning of the girl who pulled out a beer in the deputy's car. Yep, the same news story that is over a week old.
- Interesting case to be argued before the Supreme Court next week: Does the Constitution allow a state school to adopt a non-discrimination policy (on the basis of religion or sexual orientation) which would allow the school to then deny recognition to a religious student organization because the group requires its officers and voting members to agree with its core religious viewpoints. Makes my head hurt.
- Some jailers in Harris County, because of overtime, make $150,000 a year. That's tax money, of course.

Although he can be an outspoken jerk sometimes, and his ego is HUGE, at least Dale can be outspoken, candid, and CORRECT sometimes (and I DON'T have any love for Jerry Jones, either)! What an excellent commentary on the sorry, hypocritical state that journalism is in nowadays.

The government forces private companies to provide handicap parking spaces through the ADA. Why is it so hard to believe that they also enact laws to restrict who can park in those spots?

The Jerry Jones video exemplifies a valuable lesson; Old men who cannot hold their liquor need to stay out of bars. Dale hissing and spitting about something is not new. Dale, having once been a HEAVY drinker/booze hound, being offended that someone caught, on video, JJ running his mouth while drunk, is something akin to a retired porn star being offended by nude photography.
Regarding the new stadium in Allen: is it any different than what Denton ISD has? Serious question. I don't know.
Re the Supreme Court case on the campus religious group:
Can they exist? Sure. Can they choose who they associate with? You bet. Now read the fine print. They want those freedoms AND to use the campus facilities free (as a recognized group), fund raise on campus (as a recognized group), and use the university name in their publicity/solicitation materials (as a recognized group). Wrong. I side with the university. Set up whatever private group you wish, but when you wish to dip into the the public trough, it should be open to all. No oaths required.

P. S. - If you buy the church group's argument, I am setting up a campus group next week at UNT. It will be only for people by the name of My Other Brother Darryl. I am requesting student activity funds for the group trip to Aspen, as is my right to discriminate and be selective on membership, yet enjoy the fruits of the public institution.

I have no problem with a man in his late 60s, heading to a private club, enjoying his drink, and chatting it up as he sees fit. A man should be entitled to a bit of time to relax.

What, exactly is the (outrage is too strong) offense here? I believe you've posted a video of Dubyah talking with some folks when he was drunker than Cooter Brown, and I believe you thought it was pretty funny. Oops, forgot you are a lib..uh, progressive...so, I guess if you are doing the world a service that makes it all right?
