Mind Bursts

  • Ate dinner at a whole in the wall (kinda) off of Main Street in Northside last night. (Costa Azul.) It was almost empty like three other similar restaurants I looked at. Don't know how they stay in business.
  • The place had some Spanish TV station on. Observation: Any Spanish female singer tends to run in place while she sings.
  • I ordered shrimp fajitas after forgetting that I really don't like shrimp fajitas.
  • If anyone every says, "Watch this" before they attempt something, entertainment is certain to ensue.
  • The NFL Network is replaying a 1994 Cowboys game against the Giants right now. I had forgotten how much I like Pat Summerall doing play by play. John Madden reminds me how long he has been beating me down.
  • I'm going to a Christmas party tonight where I'll know three people (max). Ugh. I'm not a chit chat with strangers kind of guy. I'll have my random thoughts radar in high alert.
  • If you're aware of the Dallas Cowboy locker room controversy reported by Ed Werder of ESPN, you'll get a kick out of this (language warning.)

Hi, Barry!
My family is moving to the country outside of Boyd, from the Haltom City area.
I've never lived in the country before.
This is gonna be fun!?

"whole" in the wall / "hole" in the wall.

I've been to Costa Azul! Kind of a nice place to go if Joe T's is really crowded and you don't feel like getting smashed while you're in line waiting to be seated. I hear ya about the Latina singers.

I saw a game that was called by Pat Summerall once when he wasn't drunk and he really wasn't that good. Every time Madden would say something, Summerall would give his usual comeback, Yeahwww.

More reporters ought to get called on the carpet--publicly--for the crap they put out. They expose their victims to public criticism (often incorrectly), and then never really face the consequences. This goes for both TV and Newspaper reporters. Again, I never see "Journalism Awards" that reward anyone for how accurate and correct their stories were!!

Love the Summerall, it was only fitting that he came out of retirement to call the Emmitt rushing title game.

I went to a Christmas party on Friday night where I knew 2 people. I'm not a good small talker either so it was about as fun as I thought it would be. I hope you fared better.

The ultimate example of what has gone wrong in this country. The other night, on the web, in the newspapers and on TV there were stories about the moon being closer to the earth than usual. Sadly, there were "tips" and "how tos" to help people know how to find the moon. Neanderthals did not need tips on how to find the moon. Any day now, toilet paper will come with instructions, and a statement "do not consume after use".

Hey Karen is that Barry's kid? And you are putting him on notice?

So, is "Anonymous" the same person--or am I doing it wrong and everyone's supposed to be anonymous on this blog?

That, combined with the threat of adultery and the accusation of a "love child" has me scared that I've used my real identity here.
