9:57 - only someone immature and perhaps a bit jealous would make such a comment.

Amazing season for the Bulls! Despite the team injuries, they fought hard, besides they score more points on Liberty Hill than any team in the playoffs so far. Extremely proud of this team and the coaching staff. Bulls hold your heads high and thanks for a exciting football season.

I agree Kingfish. It is time for Bridgeport to be recognized as a city that has as much to offer as Decatur, if not a bit more in some instances, especially the arts.

Consider the downtown theatre.

For those who are interested, check it out.

If you ain't first, you're last.

Anyone explain why Liberty Hill has played an extra game? Surely they would have a bye in the first round being undefeated.

Bridgeport got a bye because there is no district across from them in the bracket. Rather than a full 32-team bracket in 3A there are only 28 districts, so one bye is built into each region, and Bridgeport's district got it for '08 and '09. You can check the bracket and alignment at the UIL web site.

B-port will always be a ugly Sister to Decatur!!!

GO EAGLES!

Take all of them playoff Tshirts that you had printed to the Pawn Shop and let Bakker make some extra money so he can pay for the turf. And so it goes.

Injuries are a part of the game that affects all teams. However, the injuries to the Green boys certainly had an impact. You never know what might have been with them healthy.

The first half, LH couldn't stop the 5 wide passing attack. LH made the defensive adjustments and controlled the ball the second halft. However, Bridgeport didn't have a response. Does anyone know why BHS continued the 5 wide set without a RB? When ahead, you need to run the ball. The JV RB should be able to carry the ball some, right? I would have love to see the game played with all players on both sides healthy....

A few defensive mistakes killed the Bulls in the first half and allowed LH to come back at halftime. A few odd offensive play calls hurt them as well, one in the first half on 3rd and ten and some the only time they touched the ball in the 3rd quarter.

LHs' offense is something to watch. 3 yards, then 5 yards, then 4 yards etc. It's like this slow moving machine marching down the field that can't be stopped, evidently. Eating up the clock like crazy. Interesting game.

Congrats Bulls on a great season. I was hoping you'd be playing Celina this weekend.

I am so tired of all this ya-ya from Decatur. Give it up, THIS WAS THE year for the Bulls and I believe that they did good. I would like to play LH with a healthy squad. It was not to be and so life goes on. I just hope that the injuries are not serious, because Cameron gave his all and I am so proud of him.
Thanks again, BULLS, for a good season and thanks for your CLASS.
Even LH acknowledged that we were good and that they were worried.

I agree with you 159. The Bulls had an outstanding year and the QB gave his all! He's an outstanding example to the youth on how to be an effective leader with great sportmanship! Thanks for taking us into December!
