Loved your hot sports opinion about Texas Tech losing this weekend. Stick to chasing ambulances and predicting weather Skippy.

Let's see now, Bridgeport only allowed 15 points to Burkburnett....hmmmm.

Decatur made a valiant effort to come back and just when they tied the game, they had 3 interceptions there in the second half that just killed them.

Not sure why the QB thinks he has to throw the long ball all the time towards the end of the game. He did the same thing at homecoming. You just need 10 yards at a time and he keeps going for forty.

Defense stiffened on occasion, but for the most part they couldn't stop Burk's running game at all. They had multiple huge runs right up the gut that went the distance. It was sickening to watch.

But I was glad to see them show some heart and make a game of it in the second half.

No "D" in Decatur this year??? The Big Sandy will be flowing with Eagles' blood in a few weeks!

Maybe we should let these kids play and have fun and not worry about who wins and loses. Otherwise, in the end they will look back and think "well we got yelled at a lot and adults without lives wanted our blood to fill the local stream".

Battle of the Big Sandy in Decatur or Bport this year??

DOES HE EVEN HAVE THE ARN STRENGTH TO THROW THAT DEEP? I WOULD THROW SHORT TO HARRISON AND LET HIM DO THE REST.

M-M, i just wanted to say that its not the quarterback always wanting to throw the long ball, its the coach's calling that play. as a former quarterback, alot of people believe that its the qb's fault for the plays, its not, we just run the plays the coaches tell us to. i will give you this tho, decatur did score alot more then anyone expected them to do against Burk.

I'm a Decaturite, but it's sure great to see Paradise and Alvord having such a great year. And, even though I'm a life-term Eagle, it's good to see a Wise County team lead out in our district. Kudos to Bridgeport's team!

It's always fun to hear about a team giving a valiant effort in the second half and scoring. Does it ecer occur to the losers that the first string pf the leading team is watching the comeback from the sidelines?

When are they going to make the New Sign?

Eighter from Ecatur?

Hee hee hee haa haa haa!

Notice, there is no D in Ecatur?

Hee hee hee haa haa haa!

Go Bulls. Boyd is behind you!

1:35,
yes, bridgeport only allowed 15 points against burk, but the bulls only score 30....decatur scored 47

hmmmm

12:24,
it was 24-0 at the half. was decatur's first team in the entire game? bridgeport's wasn't. if you think our offensive numbers are big for the season, what would they be like if our first team played the entire game?

Bridgeport also had the big W against burk, too LOSER!

I guess it's about time b-port has a good team

10:11 I appreciate what you are saying, but with your experience, you should know that with 5 receivers going out they all don't go deep. In fact, usually only two will be in some deep route and the other three are on a short route. So, yes, the coaches are calling the plays, but the quarterback doesn't have to choose the deep route in those situations.

10:25 That may be the case sometimes, but in this case in the Decatur-Burk game it was not. Their starters were in the whole game.

Bridgeport does have the whole package this year. They have great size on the O & D line. Real good talent and athleticism in their utility positions. Defense is tough and good kicking game and specialty teams. Very impressive.

Bridgeport has a very impressive team, but when the big blue eagles come into town the bulls will crap down both legs.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that 12:29 will not be on the field taking the thumps that the guy in blue will be taking.

Bridgeport plays Decatur every year. I don't think there is any chance that they will be scared this year when "the big blue eagles come into town". The Bulls have a solid team in all aspects of the game. I think Decatur's QB can expect to lob up a few more INTs

That Bridgeport drill team still called the "Buck-ettes"? I'll let you figure out what we called them when I was a Lionette back in the early '90's. Hee hee hee.

Decatur gets more injuries every week, so who knows who will be able to play by the time they get to B'port.

Anonymous said...

The Bridgeport drill team has never been called the "Buck-ettes".

SOME TIMES IT'S NOT ABBOUT THE NUMBERS ON THE SCORE BOARD WHEN THE FINAL SECONDS ARE OVER, IT'S ABOUT HOW YOU PLAYED AND WHAT IT TAKES TO THE LOSING TEAM AND HOW YOU HANDLE THE DEFEAT.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ALL YOU FINE ATHLETES FROM THIS WONDERFUL COUNTY ~~CALLED "WISE" ~~ P.J FULLER YOU ARE DOING AWESOME!!!

number 12 in the nation, rather impressive

You have to love high schoool polls. Cuero moved to 10, B'port up to 9, like, that makes any sense.

HOW ABOUT ABILENE WYLIE AT 4TH WITH 2 LOSSES. THEY STRUGGLED WITH BRECKENRIDGE.
