It was good entertainment! Sexson's two year old child had a medical situation the day before and he is only batting .205, therefore he was a powder keg. He totally misread a high pitch that was not even close to being a brush back pitch. The best part was Tom Grieve's rant about Sexson.
I heard the pursuit on my scanner. I think Runaway Bay started it, went through Jacksboro, and then into Young County. I heard them say that the driver tried to hit a police officer and they shot his vehicle. IDIOT!
started for guy driving into oncoming traffic and went all the way to olney where he finally hit some spike strips. he was shot at when he tried to run over the officers again but only the car was hit.
12:48 p.m. How is Barry gonna find this out. He is not a full time reporter. The Messenger does news. This blog does satire.
As for the fight, the ball wasn't even really that close to hitting the batter. I guess you have to resort to silly shenanigans to get people interested in such a bore of a game.
It was a very boring (even for baseball) game. But Grieve went on and on and on and on ... about the "incident" excessively.
The batter got suspended for 6 games - justly. But the catcher got a fine for defending his pitcher. His team mates or management will cover whatever the fine is but why fine the pitcher? He threw a high pitch nowhere near the batter. Just a bunch of stupid.
