Tornado/Emergency Sirens Going Off . . .

. . . in Decatur at 4:51 p.m. If that's a test, it's bad timing.

There was a tornado between Alvord and Bowie, but I don't know why the sirens went off in Decatur.

Premature Evacuation...It usually happens when something really exciting is about to go down...so to speak.

We all had to go to the middle of the store at Wal-Marts. All they kept saying was code black several times and no one knew what was going on so we kept shopping. They finally said tornado alert and everyone high-tailed it to the middle. It was quite comical. If they had just said that in the first place!

The sirens by my house didn't go off. It makes me wonder how reliable the sirens are in bad weather.

I heard them and made the kids grab the blankets off their beds and head for the hallway - then could find NOTHING on the radar. I simply assumed if the sirens went off it was serious - instead it was idiotic.

They said it was a power surge.
