I went down to Victory Park in Dallas last night and you have to go see it. This pic is an old one and doesn't do it justice. There is now a high definition screen on the front of the American Airlines Center which is massive - 50 feet across? And the two screens on the side break up into four smaller screens and move move horizontally along the buildings.
Throw in three fountains that rise out of the ground along the center of concourse and you have quite the scene.
(And, I was there to be in the studio audience of The Gordon Keith Show - more on that later. Good times.)

If you would quit watching those idiots on Fox and tune to WFAA you would see Victory Park every day in HIGH DEFINITION! You need to get out of Wise County a little more often!
Yeah, what's going on in downtown Dallas and adjacent in uptown is spectacular. This will come as a surprise to most Wise Countians, who despite not having been to the "ugly", "stinking", "crime-ridden" (get a mirror) big city of Dallas in years, are nevertheless totally sure that places like uptown are filth ridden ratholes that they would NEVER set foot in or want to raise THEIR precious babies in. In other words, if it ain't GREEN ACRES, it ain't she it. Proportionally, would not surprise me if little D had as much if not more crime than big D.
Barry, SO jealous...I have such a crush on Gordon...
6:46, Who shoved the bug up your ass???
What victories would this park be in reference to?
Now let's see,
Cowboys? Hmmm NO
Mavs? Nope
Texas Rangers? You're Out!
Border Control? No way Jose
Local Pee-Wee football? abcdefghijklmNOpqrstuvwxyz
War in Irag? noop
Britney Spears dating Barry? NOOOOO
8:38, the buggers are the countless contributors to this blog over the past couple years that take every opportunity to point out how awful it must be to have to live in the big cities.
6:46 it is awful to live in Dallas. That's why I moved back here as soon as I could. The biggest traffic jam I've seen in Wise County is at WalMart on Saturday.
Gordon Keith is greatness, BTW.
I live in Decatur & love living here. BUT we also love going to Dallas on the weekends for fun & relaxation & to visit our sons. Dallas is a great city!
Yes, it is possible to like the country & the city. I'm not the only one, right?
