All Signing Bonuses Suddenly Seem Too Small

Story. I might be wrong, but NFL players are getting so big and so fast that one of these days there might have to be some fundamental rule changes. It may take 20 years to see it, but I bet something will have to be done. Kickoffs are inherently dangerous, so I could see them eliminated with a team getting the ball on the 25. And the tackler "cannot lead with his head" rule will have to be enforced.

Edit: I just saw that NINE players had season ending injuries after week one.

it is very wicked looking.

What I find to be the CRAZIEST thing about football is the fact there is an INJURY LIST posted along with the scores the day after the "Big Game." How many other jobs post a weekly injury list composed of approximately 20%-25% of the people who worked the prior week?

OSHA would shut down the NFL if the NFL had to abide by the same standards as other businesses.

The rule, "a tackler cannot lead with his head" should apply to all men.

Football is a violent activity. We all know that as do the participants. We're aware of the tragic stories, but how many know the extent of disability the former players exhibit some 20 years after they quit playing? Many can barely walk. What do you propose we change?
