I'm conservative and all but Toby Keith is a little over the top. I'd consider him more "redneck" than "patriotic." The only thing I like about him is that he hates the Dixie Chicks. That's a fun war to watch!

Did you even graduate from UT or do you just like 'em cause they is good at football? I love these jackasses that parade around in their Notre Dame or North Carolina or A&M regalia and have never even set foot on the campus. Then they think they have the right to talk shit when "their team" beats yours ~ a school that you actualyy attended. Go back to your job hauling rocks. A confederate flag do-rag is more your speed.

5:29, we are not free to speak as we please in this country. Your right to totally free speech comes to a halt as soon as someone else is impacted in a negative way. There are a great, great many things that if spoken in public will get you arrested. And exponentially more things that won't get you arrested, but will get you fired, sued and the like. And depending on what you say, even put away for a long, long time. Freedom to say what you want is a total myth.

College is a bit different. if you're gonna trash talk me or the school I graduated from, then you damn well have better at least attended class there, nay, have a degree from there. Support any college team you want... just don't get in my face when "your" team beat my alma mater or make your kid wear UT stuff just because you wish you went there or buy a maroon truck and join the Century Club when you have no physical or emotional claim to Texas A&M other than "being from Texas." You're probably an insult to the decent folks who actually went to the school that you're such an avid fan of. I wish I had a dollar for every shit talker who's thrown Hook 'em in my face in the past 48 hours and then got sawed off at the knees when I asked them what year they graduated and all they could muster was a "duh...duhhh.. I never went there..." Freakin' dopes.

I took every single college hour from UT Austin and graduated from there. However, I totally disagree with your stance that you can't be a diehard fan of a team unless you went to school there, & preferably graduated from there. Who made that rule?
Just because someone wasn't fortunate enough to get to spend 4 or 5 years living the dream in good ole Austin, doesn't mean that they can't learn to appreciate and admire the University, its history and culture, its traditions, its current and former players and coaches. If they want to claim UT as their team, more power to them. I appreciate their taste in universities and am glad to see them join us in our support of that grand institution. We have our highs & lows, but it is always fun to be a Horn fan. Unlike you, 8:00 poster, I believe the fan club has an open-door membership policy.

LOL! Just like your University! What are there 60,000 student there now? That's more than the entire population of Wise County! Additionally, I never saw where 8:00 said it was a "rule." It seemed more like a strong opinion to me. Maybe you should go back to Austin and take a freshman reading comprehension class.

9:44- it is not a crime to claim an university as your favorite, but if someone gets in my face about how much they don't like Texas A&M, when they have never attended school their, is an insult to everything I'm doing. Why do I not have the right to fight back and call them out when they disrespect me for working my ass off in one of the toughest universities in the country?

I am tired of reading all of this talk about attending schools and getting diplomas or don't get in my face. Do you realize how stupid you and your university are looking? It doesn't matter what school you attended there will always be fans from rival schools, whether they attended or not, that have something to say about the game win or lose. The confrontation just makes it that much better when your team wins. Shut up and stop being a titty baby b/c you sound like my 3 year old.
The second thought is that every school has fans that never attended a class there. So while you are bashing fans of UT that never attended in turn you have OU fans bashing Texas that never attended either. And from experience I have never seen the numbers as great as they are for both schools in Oklahoma. Not that it is bad but people from Oklahoma are fanatics about which school they root for.
Who does your 3 year old pull for?? I guarantee HE/SHE didn't graduate from that school and therefore has no right to support said school.
