This new Carl's Jr. ad is catching a least a little bit of grief.
I haven't seen it on TV because I don't think we have any Carl's Jr. fast food joints in North Texas.
There's one in Wichita Falls - I even ate there one time. Note I said one time. Not too impressive. I go to WF less than I go to Decatur, which is too often any time I have to.
If you feel that way, then email the company and complain. It's easy to comment about it on a blog, but why not do something to change. I for one did. Nothing may be done, but at least I've taken some action.
There are two in Wichita Falls one on broad st and the other on Loop 11. Never ate there. figure a burger is a burger and now days, nobody knows how to cook a good hamburger anymore.
Yes, how shameful. They are the first company to use sex to sell their product. Wow, what if the trend were to continue and we saw other companies using this novel approach? I'm sure that the ad execs hate that the commercial has been seen by millions more than they ever would've reached with the simple purchase of commercial air-time. If you're going to complain to companies about the use of sex to sell products, you better quit your day job.
My point, which you obviously missed, was to make your voice heard by those who can change the problem. Complaining just to hear yourself complain doesn't solve anything. I, for one, refuse to sit by and not do anything. Sure, my one voice may not solve the problem. However, if more people decide to voice their concerns, think of what can be accomplished.
11:52, are there really lots of companies that sell their products with ads that promote teachers having sex with underage kids? I had not noticed. Name another, please.
1152 here...you (y'all) are on point that I can't think of any other commercials with a sex/teacher/student theme. If that was your point, I concede. However, many (if not a majority) of adds directed at teens (male and female) sell sex via older individuals. Here, you have the sex object being a teacher. What does it matter the occupation of the actor? Would a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader be OK prancing in front of male teens? How about Christina, Jessica, or someone else?
There's also one one East bound I-30 about an hour from the Texarkana border.... Carl's Jr. is gooooooood stuff. They have a burger call the "$6 burger" it's totally worth the $6.
The best burger by far in my opinion is still Burger Street. They are rare too, but killer!!
2:40, comments like yours just don't cut the mustard. Carl, Jr. did his best for years to ketcup with those ugly rumors, as they really put his personal life in a pickle. Carl, Jr. treated women like meat...Says You. Carl, Jr. greased the way for women's rights...Sesame.
Carl's Jr is trying to work its way into Texas but it will be some time.
As far as the ad, they knew it would upset some people and that is why they put the ad on TV. They get all this free press, and after a week or so, they will apologize and take it off in the markets where they are catching a lot of flack from and leave it on the air in the others. The majority of their units are in California where anything goes.
I personally like hot teachers and would listen to them all day.
Carl Jr. mayo have slapped a few women on the buns, and poked a few onions and spread his cheese, but Carl Sr. always thought despite his son's poor taste he could cut the mustard, bring home the bacon and keep the company out of a pickle!
Don't worry parents u have prevailed beyond the goals of BIBLE BELT LAW. U're kids would eat two Carl burgers and never realize the background scenery of the freak'in commercial, just make sure u're temp is @ 71 degrees for u're non-exercising child looking out the window.
off subject but...... "hot" news flash...... fresh, roasted green and red New Mexico chilies located in Decatur, corner of Bus. 287 and Walnut , and they're great! 1 buck /pound - give the people 5 stars for being willing to come all the way from Las Cruces N.M. to try and sell anything in Decatur - Barry?..... even you will like 'em
I moved from Decatur to West Texas a few years ago, and I STILL miss BRAUMS! The closest one to me now is in Amarillo, about 2 hours away. Braum's always had the BEST burger and fries, especially fries... *sigh...

TACKY!
Bet that commercial doesn't get on TV if the teacher is an older man and the students all young girls. So why would this be acceptable?

Is that Jenny Finch, Olympian and former All-American softball pitcher from U. of Arizona. Looks as though she has developed a new pitch?
This is much better than the two alien rats Quizno's used in their ads a few years back.

Lettuce not forget that the many people who knew Carl Jr. said he treated women like a piece of meat.

I think I'll stick with McDonald's.
That Ronald does it for me...I just love a man in uniform.
There's one in Dallas at 1-20 and Polk in case any of you feel compelled to try it.
2:40, 3:24, 3:35 you're making me laugh...Oh, that's so silly it's hilarious.

Maybe that will help the smell around Decatur, 7:33 PM.
Uh look below after the little movie finishes and look at the others, Paris Hilton is in one washing a car. That is worse than this one.
Nasty little girl, that is just plain filth.
