Just Caught My Eye

I was looking through the Messenger while working on The Spin and came across this wedding announcement. The couple was married in Belize and then spent their honeymoon in Istanbul, Turkey.

You just don't see that every day.

Istanbul not Constantinople?

LOL at 9:54.

I thought it was a beautiful picture but in this case I thought it was odd the groom wasn't in the picture.

The groom probably wasn't in the picture since she (and not he) was from Decatur.

A beautiful couple, and a wonderful former student of mine at DHS. Top-notch family, too.

I have been seriously considering moving to Belize. I'm making a factfinding mission in Febuary. The dollar is guarenteed 2 to 1, it's an english speaking country, you can live there tax free after age 45 and you can take your possessions including car with no duty tax. Foreigners are allowed to own real estate and American title companies will write policies. It's a member of the british commonweath with a stable government. It also has the second largest barrier reef in the world.

Palencia is like life in a Corona commercial.

Belize is the most perfect place in the world.

It was a beautiful wedding with lots of guests. I wasn't one of them, but I did get to see the pictures.

Notice she (& he although you can't see him) were barefoot when they married. I like that. Cisco & Kerry are an eye-catchingly beautiful couple. Cisco was in the engagement picture; I wish he had been in the wedding one too because they are SO cute together.

BTW, Barry, the groom got his bachelor & master's degree from your so-called Evil Empire. That just adds to his charming mystique, huh?

Back to the point - a great couple - happy to see them so happy.

I remember one Sunday when all the couples in the Messanger were going to honeymoon at the Inn of the Mountain Gods.

Nothing says "honeymoon" like tribal gaming!

Beautiful b&w pic.

Inn of the Mountain Gods? Been there -- yuck.

Inn of the Mountain Gods - you must have 'left' your money at the casino. I had a great time - just returned! Beautiful place, also!

That is one lovely looking lady.

Kerry graduated from Decatur and Cisco did not, which is why only she is in the picture. They met through a mutual Decatur friend at the University of Texas. Barry, she did graduate from Texas Tech you'll be happy to know. They had over 60 people at their wedding in Belize.
