The Morning News today has a story about how a mobil DWI Command Center is getting little use. I really wasn't interested in the story. But I felt incredibly sorry for this random girl who gets arrested for DWI and had her picture plastered in the paper for everyone to see.
Edit: Just picked up a copy of the News at the convenience store. Before I had just seen the online edition. But this girl's pic is above the fold. Belo should be ashamed.

Why do you feel sorry for her? I think it needs to happen to everyone who gets a DWI.
this photo is what I would prefer to see in the paper and on this blog than the one from the accident. The young girl with the broken neck. I think that most parents given a choice would much rather see there child being taken in for DWI than the later. This girl was able to walk out of jail a few hours later...
How sorry would you feel if you got a call that your wife or worse, your whole family had just been killed by a drunk driver?
My ex-brother in law had half his face shaved off as a result of a head on collision with a drunk driver.
Rather see her crocodile tears than an innocent family's blood all over the front page.
So by the reasoning shown here we should post the picture of every person arrested for every crime everyday, BELO will have to make one hell of a section for that. I guess this was the only DWI arrest made in the DFW area last night. Oh yeah I forgot they we are guilty until proven innocent.
Do the crime....Do the time ... Biotch !
Just another FINE I-35 (Dallas)establishment employee going to her next side job, Damn she was already primed. I should have been their that night to save another one from taking the wrong path.
i wonder if hillary can save us from the evil DWI offenders. apparently the mobile dwi command center isnt working
maybe even post pics of people who smoke in arlington. or people running red lights, or trucker turning onto 287.
dwi is just another cash cow for the state.
I agree with you 12:25 - so do we include police officers, lawyers, judges and probation officers on your list?

An important observation. It seems all "traffic enforcement" has become nothing but revenue generation, not just for the state but as a full employment measure for armies of attorneys as well. The point system of tickets currently generates 300 million annually for the state. Texas rakes in more than California from tickets. Something is really wrong here, and getting wronger.
4:52 - right on target - greed is everywhere - is there any wonder there is NO respect for the law anymore?
Or those who say they enforce it?
Hey BG - do you have the courage to publish the names of lawyers we can TRUST?
I wonder if she's ever taken a relaxing drive in the country on FM2123.
during prohibition the police and feds were actually called"revenuers"

My statement includes EVERYONE who drives a vehicle while intoxicated. It should include rich, poor, influential, etc. If that happened, maybe people would choose not to drive drunk.
