Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) sure is working her political arse off. She showed up in Collin County this morning for the dedication of a new courthouse. Huh? And then, to shame herself, she appeared at Sean Hannity's "Freedom Concert" tonight at the Nokia Theater.
The recent Democrat uprising must have got he attention.
Sidenote: I got to meet her at once at K-Bobs in Decatur during a lunchtime speaking engagement on a Saturday. It was probably around 1994 when I was DA and realized I had better ruin my perfect summer afternoon by dressing up and going to the speech. But she was very cordial. Then again, she's a professional politician - she should be.

I intensely dislike her. I feel she is way to liberal and a politician on top of that to boot. Got nothing good to say about her.
Yes, this woman is shameless. How dare her attend a freedom concert of which all of the proceeds go to support the families of men and woman who have given their lives for our country. This is how Republicans support our troops. Not by cutting off their funding, not by declaring that the war on terror is lost, not by calling our troops murderers, not by comparing them to Nazis but by actually helping their families. When was the last time a liberal weenie helped raise money for the families? You pinko commies should be ashamed of yourselves.
Yes, I remember that occasion also Barry.
Since dear Kay lost her twin Phil Gramm, she's taken to wearing bright red suits.....great attention getters down on the Senate floor.
Yuk.
10:45 I have no use for the looney left; but, if the senior senator from Texas truly believes we are fighting terrorism in Iraq instead of fighting them over here, would it be better to reinstate the draft and let's win this war. And include a check to pay for it instead of a delayed tax increase to our children and grandchildren.
Just a thought on how serious we are about fighting terrorism and winning the war.
Kay isn't scared because she knows fear tactics work, have always worked and will always work.
Any politician from Houston is no good! Sam Houston was having trouble with politicians from Houston but won the battle.
We need another Sam Houston to take back our State from Houston power grabbers. They play both sides of the game!
It is all about money and power.
Why should she be scared? Her buddy Karl is back in Texas to give all his crooked friends a helping hand by stealing our votes.
thanks 10:45
7:17, No the way to win the war is quit fighting a politically correct war. We are not allowed to shoot at suspected terrorists until they shoot first. And when we do go all out to kill them, John Murtha accuses the Marines of being cold blooded killers. Where is his apology? The marines were cleared in the Haditha case. That's how liberal weenies support our troops. Lets take off the gloves and get this over with.
If it was late and I'd had a couple of 40's I'd probably bang her.

Let me get this straight to be a Republican I must agree with the way we have run the war (or anything else viewed as Republican mindset). Well, crap I do not agree, but I think the troops are heroes and should be supported. Crap x 2, I did not call them murders or Nazis. I guess I am man without political basis and can look at individual items and make my own judgment. It is sad when a person is so narrow-minded that they can not see the truth in front of them. 10:45 I might have singled you out, but it happens on both sides of the political line.
"she's a professional politician"
That's better than being a mediocre DA...
12:00, Sorry to hear that you got your education from the government ran schools. I never said that to be a Republican you must agree with the way we have run this war.
Get this straight first - I did serve in the armed forces during the Viet Nam war. I support our country having a superior defense force. Most who serve are good citizens and soldiers. However, when you reduce standards so severely to make recruiting quotas, you get some in the service who are neither good citizens nor good soldiers. I do not support the few troops who partake in criminal activity. Anyone who claims blanket statements about supporting our troops without holding the criminal element to account are not supporting our constitution. This also applies to my support of the justified military action into Afghanistan but is totally different from the unnecessary adventure into Iraq. Let's discuss specifics without all the easy one-line simplicities repeated by some single minded ideologues.
12:00, It was not you personally that voted to cut off the troops funding, declaring the war lost, calling our troops Nazis or murderers. It was the leaders of your party, Harry Reid, John Kerry, Dick Durbin and John Murtha. Get off your high horse.
