I'm pulled over on the side of the road on 287 with a bunch of other cars. It is insane. The northbound lanes going into decatur are shut down due to flooding. And the southbound lanes are getting dicey.

Edit: Home. Safe at home.

It was a rough ride home today. Lots of water covering roads even in N. Wise County.

Shouldn't you have been at home schooling your drape apes?

Question: If a conservative gets flooded, or his hay is ruined, or his livestock drowns, or his crop is ruined, is it still the government's responsibility to bail him out?

Answer: No, that's why there is such thing as insurance. If he is a liberal, then it's the government's responsibility.

7:47 -- Answer: Conservatives don't call on the government for help when it floods. We call Chuck Norris, and he roundhouse kicks the water back to the ocean.

7:44 One of the benefits of home schooling rather than the one-size-fits-all pounding of the square pegs into the round holes is that students learn to take responsibility for their own learning. Therefore I do not try to ram learning of my choice down my “drape ape’s” throat. I allow him to make choices about what he learns and to take responsibility for his intellect.
When I briefly put him in public school he was immediately advanced one grade and still made the honor roll. Also, he was thoroughly bored with the curriculum and horrified by the Christian zealots, of which many were teachers.

You can purchase things like crop insurance and if the weather is severe enough there is government aid available.

Perhaps not when it floods but CORPORATE REPUBLICANS sure the bloody Hell EXPECT governmental bail-outs and assistance when they are facing financial DISASTERS.

For ANYONE to pretend Republicans or Democrats are better than the other is LUNACY.

Wordpyle: You are soooo funny. Who recently voted to continue giving tax breaks to oil & gas companies even after those oil & gas companies made a record $200 BILLION in PROFIT last year?

REPUBLICAN SENATORS like our own boxturtle John Cornyn. Thankfully there were enough responsible Republicans to side with the Democrats to pass The Strategic Energy Efficiency and Renewables Reserve in the CLEAN Energy Act of 2007 (H.R. 6) anyway.

TxSheehan, Who was it that taught him to be horrified by Christian zealots? I'm glad to know that you are teaching him to pound round pegs in round holes. Let him know that after that he will not have to be responsible for his actions because she can simply get an abortion.

3:59 In answer to your question: The Christian Zealots taught him and they certainly didn't need any help from me in that regard.

Is this the same Christian zealots that don't allow prayer in school?
