Just got a really good tip that Fox News (the national one) will be running with the "I Hate Victory Family Church - The Devil" story.
The local affiliate (Fox 4 . . . . News) ran the story yesterday so maybe we'll see it on the flagship network for all things conservative. The No Spin Zone perhaps?
Edit: Still waiting to see it on Fox, but it has become an official AP story which means it will be all over the country.

Here's an interesting analogy. When Cokes were 7 oz. and kind of a special once in a while thing they seemed to taste better and even if it wasn't especially beneficial to your health, drinking it wasn't thought to be bad for you. Fast forward to today, a mere 50 years later and the same innocuous thing , a Coke ,is ubiquitous, taken in excess to the point of desensitivation, even in spite of the negative impact on us. Think about 7 oz. newscasts taken with moderation compared with todays saturation coverage. We have spiraled into an orgee of news consumption to the point of THIS IDIOTIC PIECE OF TRIVIA distracting us from what is unquestionably more important things that we should be focused on. Honestly, why are we so bent on excess?
I saw that pastor on TV last night, and lil' Fox was saying something about how his "visitor" count went up. All I want to know, is where the hell the Devil is.
THE TICKET talked about this sign during the 6 o'clock hour....so this MUST be national news.

I have to agree with the devil in that church is one of the BEST of hunting grounds for Satan. Throughout history, RELIGION has done MORE to deny humans access to God than has Satan. RELIGION is responsible for the killing of MORE humans "in the name of God" than any other cause. Keep in mind, one of the most COMMON of claims of RELIGION is that a person MUST buy into [insert religion of choice] to KNOW God. Consider for a moment that RELIGION is WRONG and the TRUE way to God is for each person to find their own path through PERSONAL prayer.

todays big churches have pews filled with people who are there for apperances sake we should do as the lord says and be kind and help one another but not as many people do that now adays and it seems hat every time i go to one of these churches they preach bout giving them money like it is a bussiness and i end with this how do they know if satan hates them or not do they converse regularly makes you wonder if they didnot talk to satan then they may be lying
Mzguided strikes again! Your embrace of many paths to God is heresy and completely false. There is but one path to God---Jesus Christ. The truth is the truth, and although JC has been rejected for centuries now, the truth remains unchanged and unwavering. Your promotion of many paths to God is simply another example of man-made religion that you so abhor.

People, it's true, there are a lot of people that go to church for appearance sake, but there are also a zillion people who go to church because they love the Lord, and the Bible says to "not forsake the assembling of yourselves together." We worship as a church, a corporate body, under the spiritual guidance of a pastor. If he God? No, of course not. In our church where I go, the pastor has a profound saying: "This isn't a trophy case, it's a hospital."
And the money thing: God says in the Bible for Christians to give at least a tenth of everything they own to Him. Traditionally that is done through the local church. At our church, we don't beat people over the head to give. We don't have to. People give willingly. Also,, first-time visitors are told NOT to give. We give to the Lord because He wants us to and because we love him. In turn, He gives us blessings throughout our lives.
I guess what I'm trying to say is this: QUIT PAINTING ALL CHURCHES WITH SUCH A BROAD BRUSH! Are we Christians on here ridiculing you for your beliefs? NO! Then stop trying to make yourselves look superior (attn: mzchief) by taking the easy stab at something a lot of people don't understand.

Even though various RELIGIONS have hijacked God and whereby their doctrines they DECLARE their RELIGION and their RELIGION alone represents God because of their RELIGION'S sacred myths and fables, does NOT make their declaration the TRUTH.

It' funny: I saw a portion of a West Wing episode where Josh says "Islamic Extremism is to Islam what the KKK is to Christianity." That got me to thinking: You equate all Christianity with extremism, with no room for anything else. You see all Christians (Jesus-believing, church-going, etc.) as nuts, extremists, etc.
mzchief, what is God to you? Is He a being, a tree, a cloud? Does He instruct you personally by voice, messages in your Alpha-bits, or what? We as Christians say He talks to us through the Bible as well as through the Holy Spirit.

Incidentally, there is NO requirement to register with Blogger to use an alias just click "other" rather than anonymous and type in an alias you wish to use to post a comment. It does make it MUCH easier to follow a thread when people use an alias to post THEIR comment. When MOST of the comment authors are listed as anonymous it appears as though anonymous is psychotic. *LOL*
