Last year we had already recorded 30 plus days of 100 plus, our rainfall for June was .34 inches. The county was going crazy to not allow the sale of fireworks.
2007, the valve is open as it was in October of 1981, the lake then was 33 feet low and in two-half days we received 23 inches filling everthing. DROUGHT (thank GOD) will not be heard until June 2009. Good post again.

This global warming consensus is making these droughts and hurricanes unbearable.

I think nutrisystem brings the rain

Barry, could you please include a link to this radar when you post it? I have it bookmarked at work but not at home. It would be oh so convenient.

Get the spillway ready at the Lake Bport dam. Looks like the ol' lake is going to get back to 836 any day now.

TxSheehan, You are the typical liberal weenie. Always rely on others and not take responsiblity for yourself. How hard is it to type in the address and bookmark it? We will summon a government agent to come do it for you

Holy crap! Gettin' pounded over here in Richardson right now. And that's nowhere near as pleasant as it sounds.

Annie, is TxSheehan's son over there pounding you?

Is 287 to Decatur still open...I am tired of trying to find alternative routes home....

This is my response to over-praying for drought relief.

It's dry out here in weest Texas, even played about 13 holes of golf this morning!
We needed a break, tho, since we're already near our projected rainfall amount for the entire year! :)
Y'all stay safe out there!!

I didn't get any rain on my wedding day, but I got nine inches on my honeymoon.

Anonymous said...

You only had sex twice on your honeymoon?

Anonymous said...

no, she had sex three times,
nine is divisible by three...
isn't that right, bu-bare?!

They have reported twice earlier this year that the Decatur sewage treatment plant has overflowed due to heavy rains,(which I'm sure the folks at Eagle Mountain Lake were glad to here about), but haven't heard any news lately about that. I would think with all this rain lately that there would be plenty of raw sewage headed south.

Weather in Europe (Athens,Greece)-

"The weather conditions have been unprecedented, we have never had a heat wave lasting for eight straight days," development ministry general secretary Nikos Stefanou told private Flash Radio.

"Athens on Tuesday registered temperatures of up to 46.2 degrees Celsius (115.16 degrees Fahrenheit), the highest since recordings there began in 1955, the national weather service said."

So Texas is the lush, cool spot to be this summer so far..... I can't ever remember this much rain & moderate temps. in North Texas during the summer...... & I'm old!

It is here!!!

M&M, TxSheehan said she was leaving Wise County but she didn't say if she was headed south.

3:06 It is mildly amusing that you expend energy in your futile and pathetic attempt to offend me. Too bad you don't have something better to do with your time.

I saw douche bag hanging next to a W sticker today and I thought of you.

No wonder the country is in such a mess. Jerks like the posters here trying to insult txsharon are the idiots that voted dumbya into office TWICE......more pathetic than funny.

Several times in previous posts people have accused liberals of resorting to name-calling.
But here someone called txsharon (who has mostly liberal views) "raw sewage" before she had even posted here. Then someone else called her "TXShee-male" & someone is always calling her txSheehan, which I know is meant to be an insult, but I find it shocking that calling her the last name of a woman whose son was killed in Iraq is supposed to be an insult. Yea, yea, I know people don't like that she expresses her grief by protesting Bush's policies. But c'mon, until you have lost a child in that war, and actually even then, it's not fair to judge how people deal with that awful loss.

So, I wonder what gender the people are that take pot shots at txsharon (and mzchief too). In my mind, no Texan that is a man would be that rude to any woman. Notice I didn't say Texas gentleman, just being a man from Texas makes me think they wouldn't do that. So could it possibly be other women saying these things? I can't believe that either.

txsharon is brave enough to post under a name, something I don't do & most others here don't do. I'm certainly not going to start either - I am a liberal Texas woman, & I don't want some anonymous person to call me "raw sewage" or worse.

I don't know txsharon but I really wish you (whoever all of you are) would back off & give her a bit of respect. It probably doesn't bother her, but I guess my skin is thinner that hers.

I just give her shit to rile up the masses....THANKS FOR CARING
