I've been seeing this shocking video all night on TV. Everything you need to know is here. (And even though you have to sit through a 15 second commercial and a four minute video, it's 100% riveting.)
Edit: It's not real clear in the story how the cop killer was himself killed. However, it's my understanding that an "ex-marine" witnessed the shooting, grabbed the dead officers gun, and killed the shooter.

I mean if you have had run ins with the guy before lets use a little common sense. You know that the guy is a taco short of a taco platter when it comes to his dealings with you as an officer... so maybe another officer would be better equipped to deal with the situation.
He paid for that mistake with four bullets and some tire tracks.

i feel for the cops family. you could tell this kid was disturbed. the cop cant ignore his job every time this kid does something wrong. i bet there was an even longer history to this than what the video showed. but that is no reason to kill anyone at anytime.
i heard that the shooter was dispatched in the same way you heard (ex-marine witnessed it and grabbed the cop's gun and blasted the shit out of the guy).
I would be very interested in seeing all the documents and videos involved.
Mr. "Short Taco" needed to be sent away or medicated a long time before that.
It seemed so wiered the cop walked up, peppered sprayed and just walked off.
I agree with 10:57. The whole thing is just weird, why would the cop just spray the guy and walk away like nothing happened. I would have been a LOT more pro active and on the defense if I had just pepper sprayed a guy especially with the history these two men have had. I feel that we are missing something here. Why did the cop ram the guy's car for a few feet, what was that all about?

Living in a small town like many of us do, I am all too familiar with harassment that small town cops sometimes do. There is no reason to kill someone, but I think there is some truth to the harassment claim.
Suspicious as hell.
When U esculate to Force 2 Continuem U subdue immediately. That officer violated every policy for the use of force for every department. I "hate" to say this but he died with shots to the back not the front torso for doing his job. That was an embarassment to every police officer, he deserves a non decorated funeral service and a BIG goodbye.
TO 628PM....Who are you to judge this Officer? Don't judge until you have walked a mile in his boots. I'm sure if you needed his help he would of been there! People like you make me SICK!!! Noone knows why he did what he did. May he rest in PEACE. His job here on earth is complete.
11:05 p.m., I never wanted "Little Big Man" syndrome or "Heroic Drama Cop" to back me up in a situation like that. That moment the pepper spray (don't call it MACE) was applied he should have subdued this suspect in less that 5 seconds. I can judge his acts as a supervisor because "duh" we have the video, he would have lost his job and intergety if he not been killed. This guy, like I said before was so wrong, I have walked about 20 times longer in his boots because I know what to do to take care of business. PLEASE REPLY.

It's incredible how you know the policies of other police forces. WOW! What's even more amazing is how you knoe what this man's life was and what he was thinking. I wish we could all do that. Anyway, we see a video. That's not enough to make critical assumptions of him. Regardless of what you think, that gives no one the right or excuse to kill him.
