The
Messenger made reference this weekend about my running in the Turkey Trot and also referenced Sheriff David Walker running in a similar event in Fort Worth.
I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the Assistant Wise County Attorney, Thomas Aaberg, ran the 8 mile race in Dallas and finished in 59:05.05 - a very brisk 7:23 per mile pace.

Barry, if you take Skips challenge and race the Sheriff, if looks as if the Sheriff will lose. You and Thomas are way ahead of the time the Sheriff ran. Congrats to all of you!
The Sheriff just got over a blown ACL last year. It is a miracle he is running at all.
A comparison is just silly. Barry and Thomas COMBINED bench press less than the Sheriff and I am betting that the Sheriff catches both Barry and Thomas in a foot chase.
Let's not mention the whoopin' that happens later on. Two partial wussys versus the Sheriff. I will take the Sheriff every time.
I think all of you folks deserve credit. If it was me I would still be wheezing ....
I have learned the hard way. Running is for people who do NOT own a GOOD bike. These days the ONLY way I would run is if a hungry bear were chasing me.
Congrats to EVERYONE beyond the age of 38 whose knees/heels/shins/back have held up and CAN run.
What a deal......Skip call Barry, Thomas, and Walker and do a story on their individual workouts. Then let the readers of the Messenger judge! Joe Duty should take photo's
You are all winners!!!!
shut up, mzchief
I think BOLD that it's great BOLD if someone BOLD can BOLD run in a BOLD race like BOLD that and do so BOLD in a BOLD good time BOLD.
