8:59, sounds like you may have been at the same polling place I was. Only the two poll workers were gossiping with the person in front of me for several minutes before they bothered to take my card.
Then the worker handing out numbered tickets asked me if I was "eligible." She didn't say a word to the four people in front of me, she just handed them a ticket. I guess its because I was the only person there that didn't look like I belonged in a nursing home. And I'm middle-aged.
9:09 - I can understand the poll workers being sensitive to older folks pertaining to the voter machines, etc. - but there are still a few folks who can READ and UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY READ on those machines. It is really simple.
I guess the number we were given and entered into the ballot is our official vote.
Anybody know if we will be thrown into jail if we throw that number away?
thank you 10:16...you are right, the only voice that counts IS your vote. All of the derogatory comments from both sides MEANS NOTHING. Just a bunch of complainers who aren't getting their way. By the way, I am a die hard Republican but there is no way in this world or the next I would vote for Rick Perry. I just wish there was a qualified challenger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What better judgement than to have to call Pelosi and eat every word you have been spouting for the last month. Bet NOBODY sees Carl rove for the next 48 hrs. And let's see how Snow spins this one.

Just came back from voting. One election official (Republican) was talking so loud (small talk and cell phone stuff) that it was really distracting.
Let's see - a new way to confuse the voters?
It's hard enough figuring out whose name to leave blank on the ballot.
