Defense Secretary Rumsfeld Is Out . . .

. . . and Robert Gates, the President of A&M, is to take his place. Yep, the same guy that appears on the cover of this month's Texas Monthly. From "Save the Aggies" to "Save the War."

Good ridance to the Rummy! I hope somewhere along the way he meets Sheehan in a dark ally.

The world is now officially headed for the Apocalypse. First the Demos take Congress and now the defense department is being turned over to an aggie. Next up the anti-christ, Hillary R Clinton. as commander in chief.

Oh the humanity..........

Can someone help me figure out what or if there is a connection with Rumsfeld out and the election results? I don't get it. Not complaining, just trying to see the big picture here.

Eminem, It's simple. Bush is not politicizing the war. He would have been accused of that if had announced it before the election.

Rummy is part of the reason the Dems won. People, including Republicans, wanted that guy out along time ago. YEAH! TX has lost power in the Federal Gov. We now have reps that are in the minority. I wonder how much our state will gain now.

Question: Did Bush lie to us when he said that Rummy and Cheney would serve with hi throughout his term? It seems that when Bush said this, he had already chosen Gates as the new Defense Secretary. That seems to me to indicate Bush outright lied to us. Nothing new but it must strike some of you Bush supporters as somewhat duplicitous.

Gen. McArthur said, "Give me an army of West Point grads and I can win a battle. Give me a handful of Texas Aggies and I can win a war!" Gig 'em, Aggies.
