decatur has whipped bridgeport 5 straight years, bridgeport is outcoached every year, yet mr.danny henson makes quite a bit more than mr. kyle story.

Henson continues to attempt 2 platoon football - without the horses. If he actually used his best 11 players - just maybe they'd win occasionally. But Henson thinks he's big-time with small-time material. Sad.

DUH!
So long as Danny Henson has his thug buddies Bill Thetford and Tom Talley covering his arse Bridgeport High School and BISD will continue its downward spiral.

It continues to amaze me that NO ONE has truly looked into the shared past of these three thugs and how they cover for each other.

shared past? hmmmmmm... mzchief.. please, do go on....... we're listening..

mzchief - that is a bit harsh (thugs?) don't you think? What about the school board and their responsibility in putting these folks into positions in the schools? I do wonder if the question is even asked of candidates - "hey, are sports activities (particularly football) your priority, or EDUCATION?

Good heavens, let the kids play and have a good time. Everybody plays the big blame game when somebody loses. Lots of stuff has to come together to produce a "winning" team.

I congratulate Decatur Eagles and their coaching staff for their winning streak.

And it will happen again for the Bridgeport Bulls!

Bridgeport losing to Decatur in ugly fashion is just one thing to add to the long list of mismanaged things Danny Henson does at Bridgeport. Can anyone figure out why the district allows this poor excuse for a coach to stay when he consistantly runs off very qualified and successful coaches each year? Bridgeport administration, it is time to get a clue about your AD. Instead of spending money on your AD maybe you could use to buy a clue about the man who tries to run it and go out and find someone who can run an entire athletic program plus coach football. There has to be better qualified coaches out there than Danny Henson! Wake up BISD administration!!!!!

The biggest problem that Danny Henson brings to Bridgeport ISD has nothing to do with losing football games. But it does have alot to do with being a LOSER!

Story owns Henson! Enough Said!

I have heard that problems with coachs and their precious schedules have made some classes have 40+ kids in them. While other periods of the same classes are only 10-15 kids? If this is true, Danny Henson should be held responsible for TAKS scores as well as Football games.

0-6, at $80,0000 a year. Now that's IMPRESSIVE!

when its all done, he will prolly get about $10,000 a loss ... thats assuming they can win 2 games somehow

mzchief cant go on because she is just like Sgt. Schultz "she knows nothing"

Does anyone remember what Bport Football was like before Henson got here. I believe they only won 2 games during the 1980's and early 1990's. At least he manages to get to the playoff's no matter how ugly it is. I can remember beating the crap out of Decatur at least 9 or 10 times since Henson arrived until present. That is 1993 to 2006. Granted the last few years have gone to Decatur and in years past there have at least been some close games.

And the kicker is I really don't give a rats behind about Henson or High School Football anymore. Some people just don't know the what they are talking about.

oh give us a break, we remember life before Danny. It was nice, the kids won some and they lost some, but they respected their coaches. The way he treats kids (all kids) is sickening. He should NOT be allowed to work with children. and yes High School is full of children.

does anyone else find it odd that Henson's support typically comes from people who do not even have a kid at BHS?

Before Danny the last playoff team was 1972. And the 3 years before Henson Bridgeport was 0 and 10. So you may not remember life before Danny Anon. 4:21.

I played for Danny and hated him just like everyone else on the team. He doesn't care about any other sports girls or boys and it did have an effect on the other teams I played on. But he has had success with football and if you argue that then you are a moron. Football keeps him his job...

Profanity, fixing grades and threatening kids should be enough to get rid of Henson. I think he is gone by next year. Let's just say he has worn out his welcome!

Henson is not going anywhere unless he finds a better job on his own accord.

Anonymous said...

That's not what I'm hearing.

I think he cares just as much about the kids in other sports as the kids in football but the parents of those kids will never believe it because they don't want to believe it. Grade fixing is a pretty serious accusation. I know the coaches in all sports try to keep tabs on their players grades but that is their job and I for one appreciate that. If a coach actually asked a teacher to change a grade you would hear about it in the newspapers, not on a blog. Why is one person in particular so hell bent on getting Henson fired? She is a well known malcontent that didn't get her way. If it is so bad, why don't you move? You can afford it.

I played in all sports and was a starting player in football, baseball, and basketball for my junior and senior year. I saw playing time in football my sophmore year. I can honestly say Henson doesn't care about the other sports equal to his caring of football. The baseball coach I had was terrible but he managed to stay around long enough to get his son graduated(he was a decent football player) all Henson would tell concerned parents is that he couldn't fill the spot if the coach left b/c he was a math teacher.

I did move because of BISD and life is good!

The worst job in a 3A high school is baseball coach. The season is long, cold at the beginning, and you have to do your own field maintenance. Add math teacher to that and the applicants become very sparse.

For those who move out of a district because they don't like the way things are going, good luck. It is my experience things really aren't much different no matter where you are. It won't be long before you find something to bitch about there as well. My kids have gotten a good education in Bridgeport Schools and have had lots of fun in the process.
