75 Cents!!!

The Messenger has gone up to 75 cents a copy!!! (But it's worth it to read the very kind words about The Blog in today's Inside Wise section).

It was over-priced @ a quarter. Think I'll just dig it out of the trash and scan it after the fact.

talk is cheap. that's still the best bargain in the county. in fact, i bet you were the first one to pay 75 cents for it this morning.

Maybe its me, but the first thing I do when I wake up is read the telegram, morning news then check out barry's blog. I don't need a bi weekly newspaper telling me who just died, or the price of hay going up-if there is anything important going on I usually hear about it on here.

What was said. For those of us unlucky enough to not have daily access to the Messenger.

haha, the only things i see in the state and on the big news is murders in the black communities. where did you hear or read about the three teenagers killed in the accident last month at 287 and 1810? or about all the child porn bridgeport officials? heck, the star dont even care about our high school sports unless they go deep in the playoffs. but they sure like to sell their papers here.

thank you WCM and Index for the hometown things the big guys refuse to cover

Well, cry a few more tears folks, the Index is going up too.

But I'm grateful for these local newspapers.

Isn't the Startle-gram still 50 cents?

I love the WCM .... And I would pay a Buck for the paper ..

This paper gives our Community that "Home Town" feeling ...

I do think they lean to the "Right" to much ....

Having met Skip and Roy I find them personal and morally on track but I have had some ethics issues with one of their reporters ...

collectionsite,
Just because you have met Skip and Roy in person does not mean squat. Of course you thought highly of them in person-everything changes once they start working. Hmm.. sadly I can relate this one to Bush too.

I must admit, the photos in the WCM have gotten soooooo much better now that Duty is there! :)

Why the hell am I getting my Sunday paper in the mailbox on Monday when it used to come on Saturday???
