$100 Rebate

The very spare senator Bill Frist was on the Today Show this morning trying to defend the proposed measly $100 rebate of gasoline taxes. The normally timid Katie Couric really gave him the business. Sheesh, I can't stand that guy.

And to think this guy could be someones physician. I think it would be a hard choice between him and Kevorkian;either way you probably end up dead.

I don't like him either. If he smiled his face would crack.

Sheesh - does he drink vinegar preceeding each public appearance?

Can you imagine the stupidity of offering a $100 rebate (from the national treasury) for gasoline? Does this guy realize how little $100 buys? Is this Repubilcan leader of the Senate totally out of touch? When will the Republicans dump him and find a reasonable leader?

Most Republicans AND Democrats in Washington are miserably out of touch with reality. If every one of them before they assumed their jobs had to spend a whole year out in the real world, go to a low paying job, support a family on it, try to get health insurance and pay bills, it might help some of them gain some much needed understanding.

Having a lot of money can create a whole lot of denial in some folks.

And the good physician is looking toward a higher political goal.

I don't think he gives a rat's behind about helping American citizens.

If you would care to LISTEN to what he has actually said you would hear that the $100 was only a small part of the overall plan submitted to ease the gas price problem. The $100 was simply a REBATE of the FEDERAL GAS TAX that the average citizen has paid for a few months. It wasn't forwarded as some sort of new entitlement plan to pay for morons to gas up their car to go buy a beer.
