To paraphrase Ronnie, the trouble with our conservative friends is not that they're ignorant, they just don't have a sense of humor and are unable to admit their mistakes. Don't you Reagan worshipers remember his illegal weapons trading with Iran run by slimeballs like Ollie North, Poindexter, Cap Weinberger, and others. Ronnie just claimed he didn't know what was going on and, unfortunately, frequently he didn't.
...... all Presidents are actors. That's the name of the game. Ronald Reagan just had the professional skills, and though not a Republican, I really liked the guy. Programmed from watching too many of his flicks I guess.
This President is just a figure head run by his advisors, who just play up to him to get recognition and likely laugh behind his back, lurking someplace until they can run for his job.

And so it goes.
All Presidents have advisors and reality says they need help on making decisions.
Harry Truman likely had advisors too and the discernment to tell some of them where to go if he didn't think their advice was solvent.
Old "Go to Hell Harry" - that is my kind of leader. I imagine the Southern Baptists wanted to hide out while he was in office.
Reagan couldn't hold a light to Truman.
