BG only posted this in hopes someone will use the N word, thus validiting his statement that racism still exists.

The federal Department of Education, not to mention liberals in general, have done wonders for America's education system.

If you give Al Sharpton enough money he will come to protest the teacher's mistreatment of this poor defenseless student.

By all means teacher should be allowed to conceal and carry.

The fact that none of the other kids stepped in to help the teacher says a lot.

And I wouldn't be surprised if there's a parent somewhere defending this kid's behavior.

Bring back corporal punishment.

My wife was a teacher for 30 years; I'm in law enforcement. I deal with better behaved individuals.

Well what school was that?
In our family alone there are nine teachers who work in public schools ranging from the lousiest campuses in Fort worth and San Antonio to the best in Grapevine, Austin, and Palo Alto (Ca.), with no incidents except for at the "special campuses."
I'm sure the conservative readership will latch on to this incident and apply the general judgement that all public schools are like this. It is unfortunate that encounters like the one depicted occur at all, but in no way is it the norm. in fact, it the opposite, and these bad apples that behave this way are doing nothing but stoking the fear and perpetuating the certain beliefs and attitudes of an already anxious and perpetually frightened group on the right.

The reason this type of behavior exists is because students and parents both know that teachers cannot do anything to defend themselves without facing punishment. Black, white, yellow, green, purple... It doesn't matter the color of the students skin, they all treat teachers with very little respect and it is mainly due to being a learned behavior.

the teacher should have knocked his black ass out!

"By all means teacher should be allowed to conceal and carry."

This video is not a good justification for conceal and carry, but a great reason to oppose it.

I'm afraid that even a concealed weapon could be taken away from the teacher and used on him, as well as others in the class if trying to help the teacher.

If the student was trying to get a gun away from the teacher instead of a cell phone, shots could have injured or killed others...

2:43, it sounds like you're serious. If so, what on earth are you talking about? How are you defining "incident?"

Yes, student-on-teacher physical assaults at the age this student is might be extremely rare. But what about younger kids who kick and hit when throwing tantrums? What about property damage? What about physical assaults on other students? What about cussing at teachers and verbal threats?

Randomly select two or three public schools in your county and go spend a day in each. (Or just have an actual conversation with each of the "nine" teachers in your family.)
