The Internet Is So Evil

Mrs. LL and I are thinking about having some tile put down in place of carpet in a room or two and she sent me a link from Home Depot in a Gmail message. I clicked on it.

A few days later I looked on Facebook (which I rarely do) and the same tile she had referred to in the Gmail shows up as an ad on the side.

Yeah, I've seen stuff happen like this before and I know if can be done with "cookies", but it is still weird.

As someone who has just completed a remodel, I would suggest you shy away from the big box retailers and find a good local flooring company. It may cost you 5%-7% more, but trust me, they care about their workmanship and customer satisfaction. Lowe's & HD work on volume and don't really give a rip about customer satisfaction.

U are just now noticing that stuff?
It happens on everything you google.

What's even weirder is that you or Mrs. LL actually considered that ugly azz tile. Meh.

Check your Facebook notifications.

Yeah, don't do tile. You will regret it, especially when you fall and break your old hips.

Channel 8 news just said that a suspect has been shot, along with a K9 unit.

Yes, Facebook actually monitors and tracks all browsing that you otherwise do using whatever computer and browser you use when getting on Facebook. Even is Facebook is "off", your website browsing is still recorded.

Suspect has been shot in Sunset chase. If he is black I expect Barry to be all over it by morning with his buddies Al and Jesse

Barry -

Word to wise. Go traditional tile. You can still get creative, but don't do this particular tile. Tried something almost same. Scalloped edges were a pain for my tile guy to work with and he was definitely an old hand. Never trusted that it was as cleanable as regular tile. And to cap it off, spouse who pushed me to get it, hated it after 60 days. Now trying to justify jerking it out & replacing, but I don't like burning money.

Why do you have 36 facebook notifications? Doesn't that bother you?

Your rookiness is showing. We don't "lay" tile. We "set" tile.

We "lay" bricks.

And women

Google reads your Gmail. Typing an email one day and mentioned deer in the back yard. Looked to the side and there were ads for hunting lodges, deer feeders, etc. No longer use Gmail.

Yes we hate the tile we had put down. I can hardly wait to replace it with hardwood or laminate.

Yes everything you have googled shows up running down the side of FB. Kinda annoying.
