I agree! It was good to see then step up and decide it is time to follow the money trail to determine if someone was benefits unfairly from the use of local tax dollars to fund the business. We have higher taxes and lower civic services due to this issue.
Taxpayers of Bridgeport need the hospital unless they don't understand how the ER works at Wise Regional. Decatur has to stand behind its hospital and the Decatur City council decides who will serve on the board.
Bridgeport has a lot going for it with the new hospital and the new Brookshires. Progress costs money but the benefits of a well run ER available saves lives and benefits all who live West of Sandy!
What the citizens of Bridgeport need is a Hospital that pays its own bills and doesn't owe the City $3MM plus. Thank you City Council for trying to recoup my tax money.
Does anyone know what the buyout of Chief and City Adminstartor is going to cost the Bay residents? Guess that don't matter do to the major malfunction of shitty council really busting the cash out for folks that were trying to better the city. I guess it will take another five years to correct the current bs and crashing of progress. We will see if another unregistered junky storage facility pops up.
11:18 Apparently you don't know anything. Why would the Bay need to buy him out if he resigned? Can you answer what the 400,000.00 grant is really going to cost the city or do you even understand?
It was an accumulation of $400,000 over the last several years. Some were no match grants and the $155,000 grant was with a $40,000 match from City for the purchase of the first New Fire Engine the City has ever had. If your really that concerned with what it costs, go to City Hall and do an open records request on funding and you will be able to find out for sure. I know that probably takes up time away from your computer and facts are to easy to understand. And as for the buyout, hince the word contract and they City will be paying around $60,000 for the Police Chiefs contract and who knows what the City Administrator is going to get. Facts are facts. Peace out, have another beer and keep typing.
It's worth every penny to buy them out. The money saved not keeping them on the payroll can be used to fix roads and water problems, which are real problems. I don't drink beer, facts are facts.
Don't get your hopes to high because there won't be any money left to fix your streets, water and sewer after they pay out the City Administrators salary. I bet he doesn't settle for less than the full remaining amount of his contract which will be roughly $100,000 plus. Wishfully thinking again. Do the math.

Agreed 8:27pm, 8:07am, 6:33am. Of note, the legal process takes some time.
