- Motorcycle death in Dallas last night.
- And there was a big motorcycle crash in North Dallas this morning that shut down traffic. I don't know if it gave rise to a fatality.
- I think the hearing (which won't change anything) going on in Fort Worth reviewing the legal representation of a death row defendant are the same lawyers who represented Stephen York here in Wise County.
- The first link in a Google search for York turns up this amateur piece on the tragedy. Who is that guy? Definitely from Bridgeport.
- The lady who was severely injured last weekend when she was the passenger of the Chico man who crashed in downtown Fort Worth was the mother of the child who died last December in Boyd - - a death that police originally suspected, but later discounted, was the result of abuse. However, the lady was in the Wise County jail on a misdemeanor drug charge at the time of the child's death. She was released to attend the funeral.
- The Parker County Torture Guy received a life sentence yesterday. Everyone saw that coming. The victim, who is really country, was very upbeat after the trial as she spoke to reporters. You normally don't see that.
- The Star-Telegram is cutting its work force again.
- We slept with the windows open last night. Apparently The Family Cat considered that to be an invitation of an all night party of violently running from window to window to see if another animal is outside.
- News this morning that Fort Worth will purchase a device for police that will allow the "tracking of cell phones." But no one seems to know how it works.
- Breaking: Seven marines killed in . . . Arizona. (Helicopter crash.)
- Whomever was in charge of the crowd at the Republican debate last night must have been on the Mitt Romney payroll.
- Rick Santorum is one strange guy. I hope he's the GOP nominee because that would be the most entertaining matchup in the Fall.
- Mrs. LL took Defensive Driving yesterday. As she left after finishing the course, I texted her to "be careful." But I guess I didn't need to tell her that.
- She learned two things: (1) it's illegal to drive with flip flops on [is it?], and (2) the word "comedy" in "Comedy Club Defensive Driving" is loosely used.
- I could have sworn I saw an ABC News report last night about the lady below where she was shown in the middle of a residential area and remarking how the incoming bombs were landing indiscriminately around her with no sense of a target.

I don't know if it gave rise to a fatality. Who talks like that? Walt Whitman.
Bacon man,do you slam your own ham?
The Star Telegram employees that are being laid off were told not to take it too hard because Obammy's economy is rebounding at break neck speed.
"tracking of cell phones."
How about those privacy rights !?!?!? We're not in Kansas anymore, Skipper...
Any thoughts on the Hugely-Love murder trial here in VA? What do think will be the sentence? Thanks
I heard last night, that the Lady in the Ft. Worth wreck died yesterday!!!
She hot Hot...though I believe she has made the rtg before
Santorum is French for "Republican Suicide"
KingFish "can receive information from all mobile phones that are powered on within a predetermined radius. This allows investigators to gain mobile phone intelligence regarding suspects involved in criminal activity."
I want some extra-frothy Santorum all over my face.
Shelly Lightfoot, the lady that had the wreck into the building was pronounced dead yesterday.
Any candidate for President who personally does not believe in contraceptives is so out of the mainstream, cannot be elected! Why? Because Independents decide who will occupy the White House, not right wing Christian conservatives. His judgement on how "main stream Protestants are no longer Chrisitan" (abortion issue?) will not help him any in a general election. If we want Obama in office another 4 years, vote for this guy! And he just looks weird!!!!
I'm throwing my cellphone away now.
Cellphone tracking is just like any other form of surveillance. It requires a search warrant. Not really a concern unless you're doing something illegal
Why would anybody even drive with flipflops on? It's probably safer to drive barefoot
Maybe it's just the Capt. Morgan talking, but an eyepatch - especially in that configuration - is kinda hot.
But I'm a little surprised that she's questioning the accuracy of a group that would bomb a residential area. They probably never got any target practice picking off womp rats in their T-16s back home
Triple Fake Wedge
The Republican talking heads all say they want someone more conservative than Romney, but all of the options that they come up with are twice as conservative but 10 times as wacky.
It is hard for me to believe that these people do not understand that they are alienating middle america with their Old Testament view of the world.
Kingfish is some scary shiate. Hope no one ever just happens to be driving by the scene of a crime. Coppers will see your cell activity and next thing you know 25 years later you are being released from prison, local DA is apologizing for putting away and innocent man.
Rick Santorum is not strange, the flop eared muslum Obama is the strange one. Only an insane homosexual would think so. Barry, don't you think it is time you come out of the closet.
BG get's "a good" on the pic today

Triple Fake...
Even if you're not doing anything illegal, if you give law enforcement an inch, they'll take a mile. It's an invasion of privacy! You keep those blinders on, asshat...
I think the story says the Fort Worth police will track cellphones without a search warrant and use the results as probable cause.
Did she report about heroine or while she was on heroine?
Ut-oh, damned silent e gets me everytime.
The Star-Telegram will soon be out of business. Great news for the citizens of Fort Worth. What was once a great newspaper, has become nothing more than a liberal propaganda sheet. The fat bisexual hamburger expert Bud Kennedy, and the black racist draft dodging Bob Ray Sanders along with the liberal canadian, Gary Wortel's leadership destroyed this newspaper with their insane liberal thoughts and actions. I say good riddance.

The real travesty in todays thoughts: No Flip Flops while driving! Are you serious? I am doomed!
Leftist are like a creepy drug dealer who doesn't care on bit what anyone's core values are. All they care about is pushing their drugs. Flying high on dope with no ambition to succeed. All the while blaming their drug dealing thuggy life on everyone else but themselves.
11:18 - my thoughts exactly.
I made need to google that one.

When will our government quit squandering American lives on a lost cause and get us out of
... Arizona?
You done good Barry on the eye patch chick picture- very hot.
Oh my God, I'm such a creep.
Wow, Big Tex... Hate much?
Stay classy, Wise County!

Anyone who says "You shouldn't be concerned about surveillance unless you're doing something illegal" is totally missing the point.
anon @ 10:43 -
Take your blinders off! That whole inch/mile equation goes for criminals as well. Electronic whiz-bang items are readily available for use by crooks, and the cops have to keep up with the technology. If you want to leave law enforcement in the 20th century while crime marches on, you're either paranoid or doing something you shouldn't oughtta
I don't even know what an asshat is, but I know it's an insult that was uncalled for. Am I the ass...the hat? Who's wearing what here?
Have you been taking lessons from rage? (sorry rage, but that is your M.O.)
Big Tex
Love your straight up truthfulness.
913 - The American public elected Obama, a man who voted for infanticide. A Republican's opinion on contraceptives, however radical, ought not be further outside the mainstream than that.
I don't normally pay that much attention to the RT girl, but is that Bunny Lebowski? If so, I'm just gonna go find a cash machine.
12:14 PM
Paranoid..? Doing something illegal...? Never. I just believe in the Constitution and my rights as a citizen. I guess your willing to play that card until your rights are violated, then you'll be the first in line pissin' and moaning...
Big Tex, you can say that again.
"Paranoia, the destroyer."
Double Fake Ray Davies, The Kinks
Word:
Putting a nasty label on it does not change the fact that (right or wrong) it is the mainstream. Instead of picking single issues and pointing fingers, why don't the Republicans propose a (workable) policy that covers all aspects of health care and welfare as it relates to reproduction?
Congrats, Triple Fake- You have just spit in the face of every soldier who has fought and died to protect our rights, freedoms, and way of life. You truly are a fake.
You think if we went over there in caveman land and burned a big ole pile of Christian bibles those folks would get their happy face on and call it even?
Look, I am all for law enforcement, but give the police a new toy and I can guarantee they will use it to violate someone's privacy. Bad guys are generally stupid, they will get themselves caught eventually. The really smart one's will not get caught by the kingfisher or asstapper 2000. It will most likely be used to spy on political adversaries, or anyone who speaks out against law enforcement. The fact that we are turning a blind eye to this type of stuff is very scary.
I really don't understand the republican stance on abortion/birth control, they are just aborting future libs anyway. If you don't want to abort them, jump on the contraceptive wagon and prevent future libs that way. Either way is a winner in my book.
There wouldn't be any healthcare problems if the low life's would quit expecting everything for free.
There wouldn't a welfare problem if low life's would get off their lazy butts, go to work, and quit having kids they can't afford.
You are so right Barry, Santoram the strange guy, verses Obama, the strangest of the animal kingdom...quite a contest.
135 - Obama voted to allow the killing of an infant outside the womb. It's not a nasty "label," it's a nasty practice. You are stretching waaaay outside if you think that is "mainstream." Most people are 1) unaware of the practice; and 2) unaware that Obama supports it.
I addressed this one issue because it's what's been in the headlines for two weeks. A commenter opined that a Republican's philosophy on contraceptives eliminated him as a viable candidate. I pointed out Obama's position on a particular method of population control. (It can't be called "birth control" because the babies Obama approved killing would have already been born.)
P.S. Here's info on the health care plan Republicans proposed. There were many better options available besides the Obamacare boondoggle.
I wonder if Big Tex could write an intelligent comment that did not incorporate a sexual or racial slur. I think thou protest too much.
Irony of the day!
Can I go to Hell for readin this blog?
2:17...I think that reading this blog confirms that there is a hell and we are in it.
anon @ 1:39 -
Wow! What started out as a little pea shooting conflict just went nuclear. As someone who was in the military, I take offense at that comment. You're not qualified to question my patriotism.
I had already decided I would move on from that thread, but you had to throw out another insult, which doesn't really help your position. The soapbox you're standing on is pretty tall, but it's very narrow, too. So be careful up there.
LOL 2:41 I've always believed we are currently living in hell on earth.
Wordkyle is smart enough to know Rick Santorium will be "beat up" on his views on birth control by the left taking the attention off high gas prices and Obamacare! Just like CNN did last night to the candidate now in the lead. I would bet labor unions are sending their people in to vote in the Republican primary for this social conservative. Independents win elections and this guy can't win!
Fake > Triple Fake
Wordy, as usual, you speak in half-truths. You chose the "label" and it is a nasty label that does not reflect reality.
You said, "Obama voted to allow the killing of an infant outside the womb." This is a lie. The practice was already illegal in Illinois and had been since 1975. The Medical Society of Illinois opposed the bill on the basis of an already existing law dating from 1975.
Furthermore, the bill was, in several instances, packaged with other provisions that went well beyond the specific practice that you describe.
You wrote that he, "voted for infanticide"...another disingenuous lie.
The Bill would have redefined what a "born-alive infant" was under Illinois law. Such a change could have led to either a ruling by a Federal Court that the law was unconstitutional (a complete waste of time & money) or a ruling by the US Supreme Court overruling Roe v. Wade (not something Obama or most of the country wants). Even if you disagree with his decision, you have chosen to characterize it as he voted to kill children, which is a complete distortion of the truth.
Typical Wordkyle.
I keep seeing people expressing the thought "Conservatives can't win" yet Democrats, including Obama, campaign as much more conservative than they are or than they intend to govern. Seems like conservative principles appeal to the most voters.
327 - On three separate occasions, Obama made decisions on legislation that would provide care for children born alive during induced abortion. He voted "against" once, "present" once, and as chairman of a committee, blocked the third one from coming to the floor at all. Your implication, of course, is that because the practice was illegal, it didn't happen. The problem there is that hospitals modified their policies when attention was put on the practice in 1999, twenty-four years after you claim it was made "illegal."
The rest of your argument boils down to "Obama took the position he did for political reasons." I'll agree with that. Obama's position on this issue is magnitudes more extreme than any Republican stance on contraceptives.
RTG = Sweet MOTHER!!!!!
Me likey.....
It's not illegal to drive with flip flops on. It's not illegal to drive barefooted. BANK on it!
Denny Crane
Least we forget. In 1997 Obama voted in the Illinois Senate against SB230, a bill designed to prevent the following procedure:
The doctor grabs the baby’s leg with forceps. The baby’s leg is pulled into the birth canal. The physician then delivers the baby except for the head. He then jambs scissors into the baby’s skull. The scissors are opened to enlarge the hole, then removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child’s brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.
"She learned two things: (1) it's illegal to drive with flip flops on [is it?]"
No, it's not.
Aren't you supposed to know that, counselor?
Weren't the guys at ComDefDri supposed to know that?
--Some Dumb Cop.
Better ease up on hurting Spud Kennedys feelings, Barry will start crying, taters his hero
Okay, so on this flip flop thing, have we established it's not really illegal to drive while wearing them? This is causing me a lot of stress. I better google it.
Felipe say Candace look hot like a tamale.
Felipe
It is perfectly legal to drive barefoot, with flip-flops, sandals, shoes, boots, whatever. As long as you can operate the controls.
If only there were some place where we could look up the Rules Of The Road and the Operation And Movement Of Vehicles in this state.
Wordkyle a President Santorium, who opposes birth control for moral reasons, could issue by Executive order all sorts of restrictions for contraceptives. The idea anyone running for office would be so "back in the dark ages" in his views on birth control should be a woman forced to bear 20 kids!!! Since we don't have enough food and water to support the population growth now, the last person we need in office is a male who thinks women shouldn't have sex or should "go forth and multiply"!!!! Sorry, women still have the right to vote and when the liberal press gets through with this nut, no way will he get elected!!!!
