From the Star-Telegram's Cheers and Jeers

$236 of magazines?  The heck with the company scam, I want to hire the kid as a salesman.

Didn't Orlando Jones do that bit in the movie "Office Space"?

Vulnerable, naive kids, like kids aging out of the foster system with no parents, are easy prey for these magazine companies. Don't blame the exploited kid knocking at your door! Go after the bosses and don't buy the magazine subscriptions. The kid was sold BS to even go do that job and the kids are moved from town to town.

Salesmen?
We used to get salesmen on our front porch.
Momma just knocked them off with a broom.
Not salesmen, you idiot, sales-children.

If I'd have made the decision to buy $200 worth of magazine from a door-to door salesman I sure wouldn't advertise it in the paper.
Sounds more like a friend calling the paper, playing a joke on the talleys.

BTW....that Tom's boy?

Dont blame the union thugs, blame the greedy CEO that exploits these kids.

These kids were in Bport, too...we just called them in to the city. Sounded fishy to us.
