Not knowing all the facts, but one appears to be at least a "knowing" act of LEAVING a child in a car, and the other could be a case of a child GETTING INTO a car without the parents knowing it (since the child seems to have been considered "missing")? Facts may drive the difference.
Toddler's Hot Car Death is a due to another dumbass parent not paying attention. CPS should take all (if any) other children in the posession of this parent away from them. NO EXCUSE FOR THIS!!!! NONE NONE NONE so don't even try to protect idiots like this.
Try just once when you shut your car off in the sun and it's 105 degrees outside to tell yourself you're going to stay in the car for 15 minutes. Watch the time. You'll be lucky to make it 3 before you start having trouble breathing and throw the door open.
I don't want to open a can of worms here, but do you notice that when these tragedies occur, it almost always involves city or suburban residents - not rural residents? Wonder why that is?
with the hi-tech gadgets we have today, there should be some device that should be mandatory when small children are riding in a car. i believe this is as necessary as seat belts. it seems it would be a simple alarm type application.
Sounds like to me that the mother was one of them nigger brood mother just having kids for a goverment check. How in the hell in this day and time do you have 9 kids and not have any of the dads around???
I had the same school of thought as most of you until I became a father. Working long tiring hours I have been at work and thought "did I take my kids to daycare today or did my wife" I've broken out in cold sweats and ran to my truck to double check even though I knew for certain I dropped them off. My wife and I text, daily, letting the other know the kids are safe. Scares me to death.
11:42 I have kids who are now adults. I always knew where my kids were when they were little. (As teens, it was a different story). You share the kid duties with your wife. Somehow at my home, it was all my responsibility. So I never had to call him to know where the kids were.

Facts can determine the way the cases are treated.
For instance: Were drugs or alcohol involved?
Rage
Totally off topic, but Barry may have to kill himself. Kim Fischer is leaving Channel 5.

I think it's a fantastic idea to put parents in jail for awhile that kill their children like this. Got no problemo with it at all.

Scares me to death.
Make the parents die the same way they had the child die.
Texas surely can't pay a single Mother of 9 ( now 8 ) more than california can it?
Backdoor intruder, please come visit.. The kids miss you..
