That is the look of someone who KNOWS they are soooooo screwed.

Kudos to law enforcement for getting the accused, moron/thug/felon off of the streets.

That's what happens when you jump out of a moving car, try and erase some pavement from your face, and rob two gas stations with a gun.

Justin has always been a sweet kid. He just lost his way. I pray that one day he'll find his way back. My thoughts and prayers are with justin's family during this difficult time. His family has an amazing strength.

How come when I look at that picture I think of the Cobra Kai dojo?

"Praying that Justin finds the peace that only Jesus has to offer"

And, I'm guessing from my religious training that would be earthly death, followed by heavenly eternal life? Sounds good to me, and has my vote.

So, why did you remove the picture? You say there is a story. Give it please.

The website may not be the best quality, but at least you can finish reading an article without having to buy the physical newspaper. What about that WC Messenger? Nice new ownership we have. I'll bet Eaton could buy it back at half price. Wonder how long it will take to drive it into bankruptcy?

haha wow, i played football with justin in middle school too, he sure could hit dang hard but he was dumber than a box of rocks. pretty nice guy overall though just piss poor at making decisions. good luck carlton!!! lol

Why don't Christians break out in cheers when a Christian dies? Why is it necessary to "pray for" a Christian family in times of trouble. Aren't they Christians? Isn't God already with them?

Anonymous said...

12:49
Why do you care?

Anonymous said...

12:49, we Christians are also humans. We will miss our loved ones when they are gone, and even though they are with God in his Heaven, we are still human and our grief and selfishness of wanting them with us continues.

You people on here who imply Christians are something more than human are just crazy. We are all sinners... big time sinners. Christians just believe we have been forgiven for those sins. BUT, we do have to repent and ask for forgiveness. Being Christian isn't a "Free Pass!"

Hypocrisy, much?
I cannot help but wonder, why do all the good Christian folk offer prays for some hoodlum scumbag they know and not for a random, run-of-the-mill scumbag? I will pray for the people who are threatened and terrified by scumbags and pray the scumbags are taken off the streets so they can no longer endanger hardworking people trying to make an honest living.

If Carlton committed the crimes, of which he is accused, Carlton was just as big a threat as is any Metromess gangsta to law enforcement and the people robbed at gunpoint.

Hypocrit? Hardly. Mzchief, Christians realize that evil and demons DO exist here in our world. Doesn't mean we won't pray for their salvation, however, if they are OF the devil, the the devil will reap their soul and probably send it back again. However, that doesn't mean we won't continue to pray that that soul will find its way to God and an everlasting life of peace.

There are many who are threats to our human race. But Christians will continue to hope that those who are lost will find the right path and repent. You criticize us for praying for others' salvation? hmmmm... I sure don't see any harm in wanting the very best for our fellow man. The devil will continue to hold to the souls he owns.... but prayer can maybe release some who have not yet taken that path.

I used the word "hypocrisy" not your word "hypocrit" [sic]. Since you are so eaten up by mindlessness allow me to draw you a map. As stated, my comment was regarding the HYPOCRISY of people offering prayers for a scumbag they know and not offering prayers for random scumbags.

As for your asinine assertion that it is the lack of "salvation" as well as "evil and demons" that make people commit crimes all in a grand scheme so the "devil will reap their souls,"....You really need to sacrifice a chicken while you offer up your incantations so to be better at battling those demons.

I realize, according to your Big Book of Myths and Fables you no longer need to offer a blood sacrifice because your favourite mythical martyr, died, (engaged in the coolest albeit a tad creepy paranormal event and became a zombie) rose from the dead and ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of God. Of course, approximately 4 days prior to becoming a zombie, your mythical martyr turned bread and wine into his own body and blood and fed it to his cannibal buddies/posse/apostles.

As far as I am concerned, anyone who buys, hook line and sinker, the Jesus myth has enough issues they need to save their prayers for themselves.

Just one thing, if you need superstition, myths, fables and paranormal events to aid you in believing in GOD what does that say about your FAITH?

Let the Christian hatred begin all in the name of defending their faith.

Never met you and likely never will, in this life or the next. Unless of course you repent and admit and accept.

Could happen, even to you. There have been plenty more arrogant and self-righteous people than you come to know Christ.

I don't believe that you have to be Christian to serve God and to live the life we're all supposed to live. God is in most faiths, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, etc. My son has been through major trials in his life and he found more comfort and strenth in Hindu writings than in the Bible. I think prayer is for the pray-er, not for God. You aren't going to change God's mind....He has already set into motion what will occur. You pray only to make yourself feel like you have a chance of changing destiny, but you do not. Hence, some pray and get their answer and are healed or whatever, others pray and still kick-off. It's not the prayer that made the differnce, it was God's will all along, so prayer is a big waste of time.

lol! WHAT??? You believe this literally is what Jesus did? Wow.... are you waaaaayyy OFF!

Just as you are waaaayy off in your other assertions of Christianity, Mzchief.

You are correct, you do not know me. I was raised by a Catholic father and a Jewish mother. I attended a Catholic girls school which resulted in me being VERY well versed in both the Old and New Testaments of the Big Book of Myths and Fables. Having come to the realization that Catholics/Christians ripped off the Jewish Tanakh and adulterated it to mean what the Catholics/Christians wanted it to mean did not require a far leap to realize that the Catholics/Christians were not above making stuff up to serve their own purpose, hence, the Big Book of Myths and Fables.

Since you brought up "arrogant and self-righteous people" let me point out the arrogance and self-righteousness of ANY group of people to believe and mandate that their "faith" is the ONLY "faith" and the only way to know GOD. As far as I am concerned, people like you are already suffering the torment of Hell because you believe you lack the ability to KNOW GOD without worshiping some mythical martyr you and your ilk have turned into a demi-god.

You are absolutely correct, prayer is not intended to change God it is intended to change the person who prays.

Stupid/Ignorant people who do not know ANYTHING about Christianity but blindly follow it is one of the reasons Christianity has survived for so long.

"Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is my body." And He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
~Matthew 26:26-28

It is believed by Catholics/Christians that through the "miracle of mass" transubstantiation occurs and the Eucharist and wine become the ACTUAL body and blood of Jesus.

Incidentally, since Jesus was a Jew he was celebrating Passover when Jesus supposedly said the words written by Matthew.

You are wrong. The only deity to which I am answerable is, GOD. You can go ahead and worship your man made demi-god, created by a bunch of old men with agendas, but I will stick with the REAL DEAL and maintain my faith in GOD.

Anonymous said...

Amen, Mzchief. I think you are 100% right-on about all of this. the Christian religion only promotes a bunch of sheep who blindly follow. I personally have a relationship with GOD, and I don't need an intermediary named Jesus to have it, nor do I need a bible to study to know the right thing to do, nor do I need to pray to try to alter the omnipotent will of God. He runs the world the way He wants to, and our prayers and time spent in studying a book are a total and unadulterated waste of time. And I was raised in a Christian church, but have since determined it is NOT the way I truly believe after many life experiences which have shown me the TRUE God without all the trappings and drama of the organized church.

If I wanted to read all of this, I will go to church

The really, really bad thing for you is that the devil will use this exact exchange of opinions you and I share at this time on this blog while you are looking across the abyss from your place in hell towards my place in Heaven and when you are in great, indescribable agony and suffering. He’s good at that, the master. You will remember what you wrote and what you read and how defiant you were. You will wish you hadn’t been. He will just laugh at how you had the chance to repent and will tell you “told you so”. And he will laugh again. You will cry. You will remember all things but it will be too late. How utterly sad for you.

Since you probably know every story in the Bible so well (what you with a blasphemous voice call the "Big Book of Myths and Fables), you will remember the story of Lazarus. He wished he had another chance. He wished for a do-over. He wished for someone to just dip their finger in some water and touch it to his lips for some relief from his agony. He got none. You will get none too.

But the good thing, even people like you still has a chance. I hope one day to read about your transformation event. So many atheists and agnostics have been saved. There’s still plenty of rooms in my Father’s house, there’s a room for you.

Seriously, I did not read beyond "the devil will use this exact exchange of opinions". You are PSYCHO and/or beyond reason if you HONESTLY believe God or El Diablo gives a rat's hind end about what either of us discuss/do on Earth.

Only a fool argues with an idiot. I have no intention of being foolish. i am done with you.

But you DID read and it DID invoke a rise in your emotions and it DID provoke a response. See, you are pricked by the truth, made unconfortable by the possibility, so there's always hope. Even for you.

Just remember…what if I’m wrong? Even more profound…what if you are?

I've known Justin for a long time. He's a good friend of mine. He's a good guy, just got mixed up with the wrong stuff. Hopefully he'll learn from his mistakes, and I believe he will. Him and his family are in my prayers.
