A faithful reader sends along this pick of Boyd's Robby Cartwright (#36) playing for Texas Tech and facing Peyton Manning when he was at Tennessee. (Thanks, Trey.)

Would expect that many former Wise County players that played college ball recently would have one or two similar connections. There would be so many possible combinations like this. Surely for example Colin Jones, while at TCU, played a team with someone on it that now is a Colt or Saint.

1:56, and how is that a connection to Sunday's game?

Chris Lowery from Paradise played at Okla State with Thurman Thomas who was in more Super Bowls than Peyton Manning has been in so far.

Alvord's Preston Hartfield played against Eli Manning when Hartfield was at Tech, and Manning was at Ole Miss. Hartfield recieved "player of the game" too!

I talked to RC about this picture and he said that the bookies paid him not to smash Peyton on that particular play! So...he dropped to the ground and acted like he'd been racked!

Best Wise county athlete ever?

3:46....how many of those Super Bowls did Thurman Thomas win???

Point is....who gives a flying flip how many he played in. If you get there and lose...it don't make a hill of beans difference. No one remembers the loser...except for you.

Does it really matter how many athletes from Wise County played against professional players? The picture refers to this weekends game with Manning...awesome pic!

Not only did he play that game, he had a pick off Peyton.
