Last time I was there, not so good, but now you're saying they have Sushi? I may have to rethink things......the Margaritas were OK, but they need to change the grease more often, so maybe that's why they are trying Sushi.
From past experiences the words 'sushi' and 'buffet should not be used together. If they're willing to give you all you can eat, it's probably not a good idea. Good sushi is worth paying for.
And they have had a Sushi bar before. It wasn't bad, it was made to order Sushi... just not enough people who liked it and were willing to pay for it to make it last time.
This time it is because they are trying to do something to get business back since the new Chinese Buffet opened up next door.
not to put a fly in the ointment, but, obviously most of you haven't been to Armondo's since they opened. They were doing the Sushi just right after they opened.......going on 2 years now.
I'm with you 6:42. We ate there two weeks ago and vowed to never set foot in the place again. Tasted like the grease had been used for about a week. Nothing tasted good, even the rice was below average and you really have to work to screw up rice. The Margarita was barely passable, I didn't finish mine.
Sounds like 6:34 has a deep fear that he himself may be ..........A FLAMMING QUEER---Just keep telling your self that if you don't eat sushi that your not queer. You might check and see if there is a support group that you can get in, that would help your weird fixation of the same sex.........................
You sure they're Japanese? I heard a waitress refer to someone I thought was the owner as Mr. Chan. If so, it would be Chinese people serving Japanese and Mexican food.
Ate at Armondo's and the Catfish place out north on 287 the week we first moved here. Haven't been back to either one and don't plan on it either. Some of the most pitiful catfish and fixin's (however you spell it) I've ever had. Miss being closer to the metroplex.

You have a sushi fixation that only flaming queers are capable of.
Get back in the closet
I saw that Sushi bar sign going in today and I thought weird for a mexican restaurant, but of course it is now owned by an eastern nationality.
Si...es muy bueno. When I'm in Decatur and I eat sushi, I always eat at Armando's.
Stay hungry my raw fish eating friends.
Double Fake the Most Ill Man in the World.....

Sushi at Armondo's is a headline in the making as well as a long list of obituaries followed by countless civil suits for damages and wrongful death.
jus' sayin'
That is not good....
keep your pets indoors.
If one don't get ya, the other one will.
can't be any worse than the attempt they make at serving Mexican food
Serving sushi at a mexican food restaurant run by pakistanis in Texas. There has to be a good TV show there somewhere.

What is it... cubed carp?
Actually it is run by Japanese owners.
And they have had a Sushi bar before. It wasn't bad, it was made to order Sushi... just not enough people who liked it and were willing to pay for it to make it last time.

Sushi or sashimi?????
BSG: off-topic, but do you realize that the top spot on your blogroll is occupied by a blog which champions its right to call black people "nigger"?
Not trying to tell you your business, but... damn.

Mr. Mike:
You sure they're Japanese? I heard a waitress refer to someone I thought was the owner as Mr. Chan. If so, it would be Chinese people serving Japanese and Mexican food.
11:48...So I guess you are from Chico! I forgot that you can't afford ketchup and I apologize for that.
Japanese. Not Chinese. And very friendly to their customers... (at least this one).
I think, (think), the daughter was preparing the Sushi back when the Sushi bar was open before.
And yeah, the food quality goes up and down, along with the service.
But unless you are willing to wait 2 hours at lunch for the Cult of Casa Torres to clear out, it is another place to grab tacos.
Sadly, Armondo's food quality is at best poor.
Bleeack. Oops, I'm sorry- I just vomited in my mouth a little.
I was pining for The Devil just the other day.........good to hear from ya, old man, or whatever the hell you are.

Hey 7:09, you know they have places to live closer to the Plex. Bet you could even get a good deal on a house.
If you knew Sushi, like I know Sushi.......
Ate there last night, it has its own room and entrance.
Not too bad really, I have had worse and I have had better.
$16.00 with drink.
