Hey Barry ... I had Headline News on briefly at about 1:00 today, and there was one of those brief "screen flash" moments, when something that didn't belong there briefly appeared on the screen. I would back my DVR and paused it .... and saw one of those election day screen banners reporting that Indiana had been "called" for McCain, by 59% to 40%, complete with voting totals and the little information block in the upper right corner advising that Indiana has 11 electoral votes. !!!!
So ........... can we say pre-election day CONSPIRACY?????
2:14, I don't think you have to worry about a conspiracy on the election. Often media outlets will run test "results" to make sure their posting will work when they have the actual results. This often happens (most embarassingly) when news organizations accidently post a pre-done obituary.

Do you know how many homeless people (the ones they care about?) could have been fed with that amount of money? Yea, that was just for her meal. Funny part was part of her meal was Iranian caviar. 1.) He's a veteran of the Gulf War and Aphganistan and a Reserve Commander in the Army National Guard
2.) He's against Gun Control
3.) He was not in support of the Bailout That most Texans associate with Socialism
4.) He was in command of the border to prevent illegal Immigration on the Texas/New Mexico Border

4:04. Since all these great socialist programs since the Great Depression have worked so well, why is there still poverty? What's the old addage, If you keep trying the same old things over and over expecting a different result...? I give plenty to church and charities that dole out help because they are so much better at doing it than the government. We tried the part about giving low income affordable housing and I think you see how well that worked out.
Here is the problem I have with creating more dollars to take care of the so called poor. First they live in the land of opportunity and even in a down turn yesterday I saw no less than 25 advertisements for employment in the local paper. When you travel out of the country as I did a few weeks ago you actually see poor people who don't have a fighting chance. Instead of work they will choose the path of poverty. Not my problem. Do you think we need national heathcare for people who use tabacco, over eat, and don't take care of their body? I don't. If you can't make it in the United States then its your own fault. Are there people who have a tougher path than others, yes but things are never going to be equal for all. If you are an average income white family your kids have less chance to go to college than any minority. It is not my job to make someone middle class. It starts by waking up to a G** D**** alarm clock.

Wish it were that simple. Are those jobs accessible if they have no car? Childcare? And do fastfood places pay enough to support a family.
Yes, there are those who abuse the system. but it isn't always who you think. As an educator over my lifetime/career, I saw countless middle-class parents sign their pregnant daughters up for Medicaid so they could get reduced medical care and groceries.
Remember the AIG bigwigs going to the spa shortly after we bailed their butts out.
We need to be careful before we paint with too broad a brush. Some abuse, some genuninely need.

But when asked if America was a Christian nation, He said (and this is a matter of record, look it up), that America is a Christian nation, but no more so than it is a Muslim or a Hindu nation.

I remember his interview. I think his point was there was no "official religion" as in many other. We can be proud of America. For the most part we fully believe in "freedom to choose a religion."
One's choice may affect his eternal destination, but not his worth in this society.
Personally I think we need to be careful judging one's Christianity.
If he says he is, he is.......unless God disagrees later. Yet, God's own word cautioned his followers about them judging anyone's Christianity.

I received one of those anti-Obama emails from a strong Veteran supporter and wondered just what our Veterans really DID think of this man in Texas.
Just assuming here that because of McCain's strong Navy record and being a POW, most of our Texas Veterans would support him for President.
