And That Moon Walk Thingy Was All On A Hollywood Stage

Link. You'd think that some McCain supporters would want to vote for Obama just so they wouldn't be associated with the residents of Crazy Town, USA.

What's so surprising about that finding? I'm actually shocked that the number is that low.

Not Muslim?

Yep! Republicans are good at making and taking there own poles! If you can't find a pole that supports the results you want...make a new one! If you tell a lie long enough there will always be those "Anti-intellectuals” who will believe it.

Jarhead said...

11:57,

You most certainly come across as a "non-intellectual" rather than an "anti-intellectual."

I'm not surprised you're a Lefty.

Vote Obama!

23% statewide, 95% in Wise County.

11:57 if you're naive enough to think it's only the republicans that create the polls to show what they want....well I guess I feel sorry for you. There isn't a scrap of information out there that hasn't been carefully placed by someone with an agenda.

Anonymous said...

So 11:57,

I was curious about just what these poles support? Are they poles that support a pole vaulter or a pole used to support a pole dancer?

Enlighten us.

So what if he is a Muslim...

You'd also think that some McCain supporters would want to vote for Obama so that Texas is not lumped into the rest of the red states in "fly-over" country.

I'd rather be a bad-spelling liberal, than a narrow-minded, bigoted, racist, greedy, totally ignorant McCain/Palin supporter any day.

Not Anonymous 11:57AM #2

Obama/Biden FTW

I'm sure glad that Obama is so giving and unselfish. So much so that his brother lives in a shack and his aunt lives in the slums in Boston. What a guy!

Good for you, now take out all of your money and give it to all those who refuse to work and you go live below the poverty line because if YOU don't give it to them, OBAMA WILL !! Did I spell everything correctly?? I am greedy enough to want to spend MY money on MY bills and MY family, thank you! I'm not sure how that makes me bigoted, racist and narrow-minded though. Hmm, must be another liberal TAG !

Hey Barry ... I had Headline News on briefly at about 1:00 today, and there was one of those brief "screen flash" moments, when something that didn't belong there briefly appeared on the screen. I would back my DVR and paused it .... and saw one of those election day screen banners reporting that Indiana had been "called" for McCain, by 59% to 40%, complete with voting totals and the little information block in the upper right corner advising that Indiana has 11 electoral votes. !!!!

So ........... can we say pre-election day CONSPIRACY?????

Anonymous said...

2:14, I don't think you have to worry about a conspiracy on the election. Often media outlets will run test "results" to make sure their posting will work when they have the actual results. This often happens (most embarassingly) when news organizations accidently post a pre-done obituary.

11:57, talk about full of crap, you and Michelle Obama certainly are. She had a $447.00 meal at the Waldorf Astoria in New York last week. Do you know how many homeless people (the ones they care about?) could have been fed with that amount of money? Yea, that was just for her meal. Funny part was part of her meal was Iranian caviar. Hopefully when her husband becomes President my poor ass can eat like them rich folks. He's say's he's gonna give me some money.

That one drew me out. Although Page Six did print the lobster story, it turned out to be false.

Just curious about why Cornyn would be ahead. He's the Incumbent as as the article eluded to It has the Worst Congressional Record ever. For the life of me I can't figure why Texas and Wise County wouldn't Vote for Rick Noriega.

1.) He's a veteran of the Gulf War and Aphganistan and a Reserve Commander in the Army National Guard

2.) He's against Gun Control

3.) He was not in support of the Bailout That most Texans associate with Socialism

4.) He was in command of the border to prevent illegal Immigration on the Texas/New Mexico Border

Please explain why this poll shows a "Comfortable" lead for Corny? (Pun intended)

Maybe this one will draw you out too, Skippy. His relatives live in slums while he lives the good life. So much for What you do to the least of my brother, you do to me. Why doesn't he pull them up by their bootstraps instead of asking us to do it for him?

Anonymous said...

really jarhead? Obama? I thought I liked you better than that.

Anonymous said...

3:04 ... C'mon. How many homeless people have YOU taken home and fed. Be careful about casting stones, there. And as for "asking us to do it..." ... just what do you think every social program in this country since the Great Depression has been all about? There's just nothing all that extraordinary about the programs Obama is espousing. OK, they're liberal, I get it. You don't like that.

But the pendulum swings.

1:40 and other idiots on this blog - Obama has NO brothers and only one sister. His mother, Ann, was an only child so where did the "aunt" come from? The ones living in Africa that he never met until he was an adult? Some of you will repeat anything you hear without checking the facts. Oh yes, the crap about Obama being a Muslim is actually based upon what information? How does one become Muslim? Even tho it is a false claim, exactly what difference should it make? Were you one of the bigots who claimed the USA would become a suburb of the Vatican if Catholic John Kennedy was elected? Ignorance is so hard to correct with facts - because the ignorant just don't care about facts.

4:04. Since all these great socialist programs since the Great Depression have worked so well, why is there still poverty? What's the old addage, If you keep trying the same old things over and over expecting a different result...? I give plenty to church and charities that dole out help because they are so much better at doing it than the government. We tried the part about giving low income affordable housing and I think you see how well that worked out.

Here is the problem I have with creating more dollars to take care of the so called poor. First they live in the land of opportunity and even in a down turn yesterday I saw no less than 25 advertisements for employment in the local paper. When you travel out of the country as I did a few weeks ago you actually see poor people who don't have a fighting chance. Instead of work they will choose the path of poverty. Not my problem. Do you think we need national heathcare for people who use tabacco, over eat, and don't take care of their body? I don't. If you can't make it in the United States then its your own fault. Are there people who have a tougher path than others, yes but things are never going to be equal for all. If you are an average income white family your kids have less chance to go to college than any minority. It is not my job to make someone middle class. It starts by waking up to a G** D**** alarm clock.

End of rant and simply why I could never vote D.

And I believe the poll that says half of all NASCAR fans would vote for Obamma.

Whoa...with people like 5:17 running around, we are doomed. What a misinformed idiot, typical wise county republican

Wish it were that simple. Are those jobs accessible if they have no car? Childcare? And do fastfood places pay enough to support a family.

Yes, there are those who abuse the system. but it isn't always who you think. As an educator over my lifetime/career, I saw countless middle-class parents sign their pregnant daughters up for Medicaid so they could get reduced medical care and groceries.

Remember the AIG bigwigs going to the spa shortly after we bailed their butts out.

We need to be careful before we paint with too broad a brush. Some abuse, some genuninely need.
Therein lies the challenge.

There will be "Angel trees" in most of our banks this Christmas.
In these times there will probably be more than ever. Yes, some will be fraudulent. Many will not.
This one, God may have to sort out.

Once again it is the middle class that gets screwed. We have welfare for the poor and tax breaks, tax incentives, farm subsidies, and off shore accounts for the other end of the scale.

I await the day, we as a group, stand up to both parties and say we aren't taking it any more. One term, one shot, once chance to "do something," or you are out of here.

Right now, I have mine. Retired. House paid for. Failing a deep depression enough to live comfortably these last few years.

So I am looking for the candidate from either party who will "reform the problems at both ends of the scale." And I will try to be a little more forgiving and understanding of those who haven't arrived where I am yet.

I know that Obama claims to be Christian. With the pastor he had for 20 years, that is some kind of Christianity

But when asked if America was a Christian nation, He said (and this is a matter of record, look it up), that America is a Christian nation, but no more so than it is a Muslim or a Hindu nation.

That is not the kind of Christian president I am interested in.

2forta5, how many folks could eat from the 150 grand of window dressing for a republican airhead? more than that 447.00 even.

Anonymous said...

I remember his interview. I think his point was there was no "official religion" as in many other. We can be proud of America. For the most part we fully believe in "freedom to choose a religion."
One's choice may affect his eternal destination, but not his worth in this society.

Personally I think we need to be careful judging one's Christianity.
If he says he is, he is.......unless God disagrees later. Yet, God's own word cautioned his followers about them judging anyone's Christianity.

I blame it on lack of Dodge-Ball in the school systems. We have raised a nation of WUSSIES - no one can be it -no winners no losers .In my day we slammed balls and had balls slammed into our faces and we liked it! Wait that didn't come out right ---NEVER MIND--- I'll just give the waitress my pay check so her kid can go to college and report to the local RE-EDUCATION CENTER so I can march to chairman Maobamma's drum.

Like I have said over and over ... Some of the most stupidest people in America live here in Texas and the ones that are the dumbest of ALL are here in Wise County.

Very Very sad ... All of America is wrong and these "rocket scientist" in Wise County know everything.

Ryan said...

I'd say 95% of Americans would fall under the "misinformed" category thats being thrown around so much here lately. Everyone is trying to dig up dirt on Obama or McCain that they are making absolutely ridiculous claims about both of them, and I'll be the first to admit that I'm probably guilty of this myself at least one point or another, but Jesus Christ people! November 5th can't get here fast enough.

Jarhead said...

"most stupidest"?

I've said it before: if you're going to slag people off for being stupid, you should, at the very least, appear to be smarter than the people you're trying to insult. It makes the insult that much more impactful.

It has been working wonders for me my whole life!

Is anyone really surprised that Texas has that high of a percentage believing that? Hell, the state is full of rednecks that don't keep up with current events because it would interfere with beer time.

5:17, YOU ROCK BUDDY! You said what most of us are thinking. I'm sick and tired of paying for the low-class give it to me for free freeloaders. We already have nationalized health care. Do you have any idea how many kids qualify for free/reduced price meals at the schools? I'm sick of it. People are downright lazy and feel entitled to everything. I'm just SICK of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received one of those anti-Obama emails from a strong Veteran supporter and wondered just what our Veterans really DID think of this man in Texas.

Just assuming here that because of McCain's strong Navy record and being a POW, most of our Texas Veterans would support him for President.
