Were drugs or alcohol involved?

Ahhh, I really don't miss my bike that much...

I sure hope the driver was wearing a helmet. I just don't understand why so many bike riders choose NOT to wear helmets. It's a choice to die WHEN you're in an accident.

Any news about injuries, death, helmet usage, drugs/alcohol,culpability, as relates to this post? Or are you just hell-bent on slanting the news (as you see it) against motorcycles regardless of statistics? Never mind that in your liberal weenie world we should save the planet from global warming by being more fuel efficient, and that motorcycles do more toward that end than all the crossover SUV's. hybrids, etc. You appear to have a bias, and, well, it shows.

It doesn't matter when your involved in a accident whether you ride a bike, trike,or tractor,or just about any means of transportation,90% of the time the trooper is gonna say"alcohol could of been a factor!!!"I guess they automatically assume,if you have a accident,You are Intoxicated!!!!!!!!

Uh, 11:56PM cruiser bikes (especially Harleys) aren't fuel efficient as far as motorcycles go. Which the bike in the picture is clearly a cruiser.

And kudos for the Messenger for writing a paragraph and is intelligible. This is the paper that just won awards?

"The car then struck another truck and a motorcycle before coming to rest in the grass of the northbound lane. 41-year-old Elizabeth Clark's 41 car spun off the truck, driven by Paradise resident Kevin Stice, 18, and was struck on the passenger side by another truck, a white Ford, that was heading north in the opposite lane."

My husband wanted a bike so bad. He finally got one and it was suposed to be just a toy for him to enjoy. Its a life saver for us because it saves us about $150 a week. If I ever see him on it without a helmet though I will kill him myself. At least that way when we burry him he will still look great. (Love you honey)

I went through the motorcycle phase in my younger years and almost got nailed by a lady who didn't see me.

You have to pay attention not only for yourself but for others as well.

Uh, 7:58PM my '03 Heritage Softail which is a Harley cruiser, averages 46 mpg. What does your car get? I did laugh at the paragraph you pointed out. I am amazed every year that the messenger wins awards. There must be some REALLY crappy papers out there.

11:20, I have ridden motorcycles for over 25 years, without a helmet, and I somehow managed to still be alive and well. Exactly how are we a danger to other drivers? I guess riding without a helmet is far more dangerous than say talking or texting on a cellphone, adjusting the radio, or even putting on make-up. I'm sure those drivers are far more cautious and safer in traffic than I am. One of my favorite hypocricies is when somebody decides to lecture me on the hazards of riding without a helmet, and the whole time they are lecturing me they are chain smoking cigarrettes. ?????????
