ILLEGAL ALIENS tend NOT to bother with learning the language because they have proved a lack of respect for the United States by breaking the laws of the U.S. and ILLEGALLY living within the U.S.
Incidentally, there is NO such thing as an Illegal Immigrant. As defined by INS an Immigrant is any alien lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence: such people also may be referred to as lawful permanent residents.
Alien refers to any individual who is not a citizen of the United States.
