I Love Wikipedia

For some strange reason, I was wondering tonight what ever happened to Steve Perry, the lead singer of Journey. And so I learned. And I stumbled across the Wikipedia list of #1 singles on Billboard's Top 100 chart for every year on record. Here is 1990 but there's a link to every other year. (Go ahead, reminisce.)

Whoa, Barry, dontcha know some of your bloggers reject Wikipedia as unreliable information? Well, it's their loss. It is a source of all sorts (and depths) of information. I recently wanted a quick history of the Dixie Chicks so went to Wikipedia and, as always, got that info and links to a bunch of other stuff.

Wikipedia is amazing. Twice, my son was studying for a history test, and had no history book at home. He had a list of words and phrases he needed to know about--almost every one was on Wikipedia!! It saved the day, for sure.

I just wasted about an hour of my day going thru the #1 songs of my high school years and can't believe I used to like that stuff.

7:31, You should check out the history on Barry Manilow also. Amazing stuff. It will make you stain your Oprah underwear.

No wonder we grew our hair long and listened to Iron Maiden!
