This is most likely a feral hog, which are basically once domesticated hogs that have turned wild.

Hey Barry thanks for the pic. Several people have told me about this but I havent seen anything until now.
From what I have been told, it is supposedly a new world record for a "tuskless wild feral hog".
I think it is a hoax ... computer/picture cut and paste ... how did they load a 600+ lbs. hog on a pickup like that? Smells "fishy" to me!

I don't believe that this is a new record but I am not an expert. As an avid hunter I have heard and seen pictures of bigger ones but who is to know the exact truth. My buddy shot a pig about 8 years ago west of Chico that weighed 550 but we don't know how accurate the old scales were. In order to load that pig four of us drug the animal to a tank damn and then backed the truck up as close as possible. From there we managed to get it in the truck.
Who knows this guy may of had a tractor??

It is not fake, I have personally spoken with a guy who witnessed it after being shot. It was taken to the Old Plantation slaughter house in Springtown. He was told that the guy who shot it brought it there not to have it processed but to have it skinned because he was having it made into a full body mount.

Old Plantation Slaughter House opened back up last summer. The retail portion has always been open.
Greta's right. Retail never closed. They quit taking in animals to kill and process, but still sold meat. Now, some guys opened up the wild game processing part again in the back of the store.
I thought it was just a rancher/farmer wanting extra traction during those icy days.
