actually Barry I have to disagree with this site. I am a youth pastor here in town and I actually did a class on the first verse on their list. It was a class in a series we were teaching on wild stories of the old testament.

lol, as a fellow youth pastor I wonder why this verse didn't make it on the list...
2 samuel 1:26 (written by David)
26 I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother;
you were very dear to me.
Your love for me was wonderful,
more wonderful than that of women.

Was the bible written by Al Gore too?

no, the bible wasn't written by Al Gore. It was written by God through others. And now Bush and all other right wingers are legislating the bible and their own morals into our lives. I can be a christian without the help of ignorant conservatives... thank you

Bible also is quite clear that before Adam and Eve God created "male and female" and told them to go forth and be fruitful. Adam came later. It is stunningly amazing, and the main reason I do not go to church, that this passage is totally ignored and if you bring it up in a church they make fun of you. But it's right there in Genesis. And after all, Cain had to go find a wife, didn't he?

They would rather think it was incest, Cain and Able married their sisters. Yuck! So to be a christian you have to believe in incest. Explains a lot about the right wing fundies.

Why do we hear from no Wise Co bible thumpers to explain these verses to us?
