There might be a story forthcoming about a public official in Wise County who was seen last night shooting a dog from a vehicle.

I think the Sheriff will cover this up because he is a fellow officer. Why talk to the DA? Why not go ahead and arrest him? Why do the officers call the Sheriff to see what to do.....?

I know....Drugs and alcohol and rock trucks led up to this.
Just saw a blip about it the local news. Says it was the Decatur Fire Marshall, and that he shot a pit bull in an unincorporated part of the county.
Sheriff said no charges to be filed yet, but they are sending their stuff to the DA, possibly for animal cruelty charges.
Chances are nothing will come of it since he is a retired state trooper and we know what that means...oops, sorry to bother Smokey
