Yep, I'm still waitin' on that rapture right to he!! thingy. Good riddance is what I would say to all you bibble tinking neocons out there. And, don't waste your time praying for me - I refuse your "help and prayers" - just call me a lost soul, I'm sure you might feel better about yourselves then.

Actually, the term "rapture" is never used in the bible. Neither is Armaggedon, or that Adam was the first man created...etc. but for some reason most Baptists don't actually read the Bible, they just go by what's preached and what they hear.

One's "religion" does not matter. What matters is what is after this life and what it takes for us to get there. Goodness will be rewarded. Faith will keep us good.

I can't believe they're serious.

So many will be like the man on the ground, for every knee shall bow and every toung shall confess Jesus Christ is Lord, even 6:19 will confess whether he likes it or not. Im a bible tinking neocon who will stand by Gods word as truth, and believed Christ when he said, If you love me you will keep my commandments, how many, all of them, your decission.

Attacking people you don't know is some sort of defense mechanism.

No one is forcing you to be believe one way or another. The Bible is God's Word, but I'm not forcing you to believe that. That's the wonderful thing about God, He allows us to have free will to choose His love or to reject it. It's great to be a good person, but that can't bring you salvation. The road to salvation is free. Admitting your a sinner, believing Jesus died on the cross for your sin, and confessing to others is the only way to salvation. Trusting in Him alone.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but I won't apologize for believing the way I do.

6:48, Armageddon is mentioned in the Bible...Rev. 16:16, and you are correct, the word "Rapture" is not, that is the word man has given to that event that the Bible speaks of in I Thess. 4. And as for not saying that Adam was the first man created?!?! I just felt compelled to respond...and, uhm, I'm one of those Baptists that do read my Bible...and 7:52, very well said.

The plan of salvation--- If Gods word says to do something to be saved, does that mean do it so you can be saved, or is it what someone says will save you that counts, as in just believe and trust and you will be saved. I believe God has given more instructions that just believe. Oh, and the sinners prayer is not mentioned in the bible either.

If you are interested, you can find several scriptures in Romans, as well as others, referring to salvation. Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23; 10:13, and 10:9-10 which states,

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

I hope that helps clarify.
(John 3:16)

To Betty Boop: Thank you for your response.

Numerous individuals such as Nostradamus, Mother Shipton, Edgar Cayce and Jerry Falwell as well as numerous ancient text and recent writings have prophesized the end of the world.

For those of you interested in the numerous religions and countless individuals that offer their specific take on who dies, lives, suffers and is spared when the world ends you might enjoy adding to your "knowledge base" by looking at this link.

Do not worry that I am having you click on a link that will send you directly to Hell. The link leads to "ReligiousTolerance.org"

10:06 If you are interested, Mark 16:16 Jesus HIMSELF said he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved he that believeth not shall be damned, and he that believeth not is not going to be baptized.
Peter, being full of the Holy Ghost said in Acts 2:38 to those people who asked what shall we do to be saved, and Peter said repent and be baptized every one of you in the nameof Jesus Christ for the remission of sins---for the forgiveness of sins--- how in the world can you believe and love youir sins away, you cant. You must die in the LOrd, HOW do you do this? Rom.3:3-5 Baptized into his death and raised as he was-washed- cleansed from your sin, Aninias told Paul why tariest thou, arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins, Acts 22:16.

John3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever beliveth in him --SHOULD NOT -- not will not --SHOULD NOT perish but have ever lasting life. You shouldnt perish if you believe Gods word and do it. In Christ is where salvation is and no other, How do you get in Christ? Baptism. For as many of you as have been Baptized INTO Christ have put on Christ. Gal.3:27

Explain to me Col.2:11-13
Here is the plan of salvation by Gods authority, his word Hear the word, Rom.10:17 believe John3:16 repent Acts 2:38 confess Rom.10:9 be baptized Mark 16:16 continue until death or Christ comes.

And love is all you need---Dont think so --Because Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments, just a few, or just the ones we want to keep, no, he says all of them.John 14:15 Teaching them to observe ALL things whatsoever I have commanded you. Math.28:20. Your love is needed to serve God to love him with all your heart soul and mind and if you do that you will do All that he says to obtain Life everlasting with him. Search the scriptures, ther is more than just believeing. And the scriptures you gave for the sinners prayer are not for the sinners prayer. John 9:31 God heareth not the sinners, but if any man be a whorshiper of God and DOETH his will, him he heareth. Jesus said come unto me, not pray for me to come unto you, we obey him not man.

Mzchief, where did you learn about God from?

7:52 - Thank you for you consideration. While I don't share you faith, I respect your own beliefs. So many in this world would be better off if they showed tolerance as you do. Unfortunately, you seem to be in a minority in the Christian faith as well as several other major faiths. I advocate tolerance, love and honesty for all.

No such thing as a baptist, and the bible was written by inspired men of God, chosen by God, God or the Holy spirit through and in certain men wrote the bible, and why would it say, its a fearful thing to fall in the hands of the living God, and vengance is mine sayeth the Lord I will repay. Sounds like he can get pretty angry if you ask me. Anon.3:35 Listen close, there is only one faith, only one, not many Eph.4:5 You advocate tolerance, love and honesty for all, God is in charge, he gives the commmands and is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Who wrote the book of love

God did.

We need to help each other understand more clearly about what Gods word says, and all it says.
