Political Junkies Only

A couple of weeks ago, I caught some heat for saying that the Republican Administration intentionally threw out the term "al Qaeda" in connection with the alleged plot to blow up a bunch of jets heading from London to the U.S. when there was no evidence to support it. I called it the Culture of Fear - keep us scared so we won't question the President's actions. Well, here's a clip of exactly the same thing. Van Taylor is some Texas spare running for Congress who appeared on the Chris Matthew Show. He starts off by firing off a hot sports opinion that Al Queda is in Iraq and that's what the battle is about. Of course, that's a load of crap since all the bloodshed is due to the beginning of a civil war between the Shiites & Sunnis. Thankly Thankfully, Chris Matthews hands this guy his arse. Edit: Sheesh, you guys are tough.

A Texas Republican VS A Ohio Yankee ... Isnt a fair fight.

They should have made the guy from Ohio fight him with one arm tied behind his back while blind folded :)

This is why they call it "Hard Ball" ...

(I said this to a good friend the other day)

"Do not come to a Gun Fight with a Knife" !!

I would loved to have seen that same liberal weenie from ohio debating Rush. he would have spilled his koolaid all over his bib. Rush wouldn't need someone on his side to make his point for him.

Anon @ 6:06

That would be a wonderful debate.

And I think a very fair objective views from both sides. Has Rush ever been on Hard ball? Or is to Liberal for him ...

6:06 - So how many prescription pills do you think Rush would have had to take to deal with this little ordeal? I'm just askin'.

O'Reilly and Rush would be taken apart if a substantive debate would occur. If they had to back up their blather, they just wilt. It's only when they totally control the audience (and the mike) that they can dominate a discussion. That's why you never see them on an open forum.

Let's see, hmmm, Chris has an audience of about 200 thousand and Rush an audience of about 20 million. Why would Rush want to go on his show when he reaches so many more people?

Typical, lob a soft question to the person holding the same ideology as you and berate, interupt and become confrontational with a differing viewpoint. These people should know whoever controls the microphone, controls the content. Kind of like arguing with the editor of a newspaper, they always get the last word. The guy from Texas would be unimpressive trying to debate anyone so the democrats shouldn't be too excited about that. I wouldn't think he has much of a chance in any race.
