The facade of addition to the Tarrant County courthouse has quite a bit of trump l'oeil. I do not know if they were too cheap to spring for real masonry or they thought the trump l'oeil would be more interesting. Regardless of their reasoning the trump l’oeil looks much better than if the facade had been a brick or plane stucco exterior.
