Why Cable TV Was Invented

Back in 1976, somebody thought it would be a great idea if the Brady Bunch had a variety show on prime time TV. Every Brady signed on to the project with the exception of Eve Plumb who played Jan (and who was much smarter than we ever knew). A clip of the show is here. Two words: Train Wreck.

It's like Sunny & Cher, and Donnie & Marie. They were all great in their time.

In 2006, the "Brady Bunch Variety Show" would be considered a train wreck.

Marcia Brady (Maureen McCormick) is really a very dirty girl these days. Very much into debauchery. For example, she has narrated several of HBO's seediest sex shows.

Perhaps a train wreck, and much better that most all television shows now.

I agree with Greta, now it would be considered a train wreck...guess good choreographers were hard to find back then, but call me crazy...I actually enjoyed the clip!

That would be Paul Williams...can't believe that I know that, but he wrote many songs for some super pop singers and he also sang some himself.
