The Morning After Pill

I can't believe I'm saying it, but this isn't a bad discussion about the Morning After Pill on "The View". Such questions as: If an egg has been fertilized, is it a "life" before it becomes implanted in the uterine wall? And I'm curious as to what is the percentage of fertilized eggs that never make it to the implantation stage. Of course, the conversation had to get muddled with the "rape and incest" debate. And what's Lisa Loeb doing on the show?

Some folks will never quit. Ok, what's next? The millions of sperm that are found swimming toward the egg following intercourse. What about those little future guys and gals? Unless I've missed something, MEN still determine the sex of the child. Are the abortion nuts gonna get into the complexities of that? And only ONE little sperm makes the trip successfully to unite with the egg.

Good gosh!

Seems pretty easy to avoid getting pregnant in the first place. Why the need for this pill? (criminal acts aside).

You should be able to abort kids up until the time they can vote.

5:35 - tell us (if you have teens), how you taught them to abstain from sex and the possibility of a resulting pregnancy. The world awaits your answer.

Heck, let's indulge Barry on this one.

Lisa Loeb is on there because she is a feminazi also.

It is NOT a life before the uterine wall. I hope that this passes and is available. Pro-Choice here. I have two daughters in their 20's who believe in abstainance, but should something ever happen to them, they should have the right to choose what to do.

Yes, I'm a Christian and yes, I'm a moral person, and no - I wasn't permiscuous and neither are my kids. I know many women who are pro-life and most fooled around before marriage and some got pregnant and had abortions way back when. They just have a guilt trip now.

I thought it was intresting how the blond girl was so quickly dismissed as going overboard.

and your point is? said...

Pro-choice, here....There will always be differences on this subject, and each one is utterly standfast, in their opinion.

I loved the blonde girls comment on universal healthcare. liberals want the government to provide healthcare but stay out of how they use it.

And it was an ambulance chaser lawyer named John Edwards that wants to take profit out of healthcare. Gee, I guess doctors that spend lots of money receiving their license should be paid minimum wage. Think how many doctors would take up another profession if he got his way. Then the liberals would wonder why they couldn't get a safe abortion because quacks would be the only ones that performed them. When will liberals learn that socialism never works?

if all of the people who are uneducated on the subject would read up on it, they would find that not all fertilized eggs implant automatically anyway

11:19 anon: Exactly! I guess God is pro abortion.

We will continue to sink to 3rd world country levels in the rate of teen pregnancies and will continue to have a high rate of abortions if people persist in these ignorant opinions.

Countries where these pills are sold over-the-counter have very low abortion rates and teen pregnancies.

The Christo-Fascist Zombie Brigade doesn't really care about stopping abortion or teen pregnancies. It's sex they want to stop.

txsharon ... if the Christo-Fascist Zombie Brigade wants to stop sex then they need to see Jimbo the over weight ~ non working ~ porn cruising mouth of the republican party. i wish his mom would have taken that pill and wise counties i.q. would have went up.

Be careful how you throw God's name around 7:59. Doesnt anyone believe in the bible anymore, our answers are there to all questions. Rules God has given us to live by are there, why do you think you can change them to suit your lifestyle and not offend God our Father. Thou shalt not kill, what part do you not understand?

Im Sorry 7:59, I meant txsharon.

I think every family with a fertile female should have a few of these pills on hand. Use them whenever they think it's appropriate. (I wonder if this will allow abusive fathers more freedom with their daughters?) In any case, the female should have the option to take the pill.

7:59 anon: Maybe we could get a camera on him! Nice idea.

the whole point of christianity is that we have free will to choose the right path . Why then should we take away the choices? Shouldnt we focus more on directing people to the right choice? If all of the people who are so "passionate" about this issue would focus on teaching their children how to appropriately use the power of procreation, then would we even have to argue this issue?

Let's settle this debate once and for all. What would Oprah do?
