"Boom" ad nauseum

The Pro Football Hall of Fame inductions are this afternoon and we'll be forced to listen to John Madden utter the phrase "that's what football is all about" no less than fifty times. That guy drives me insane. And I still remember a quote from an old KLIF sports commentator that said, "He gets paid $2 million a year to tell me what I just saw!"

He's a good ole boy who adds a tiny bit of info that wasn't already obvious. And he gets paid really big bucks for it. Sometimes I just like watching the games with the sound turned off. Don't miss much, either.

Yeah, 1:45 - I do that too. It's kinda fun having that sound turned off and seeing the upclose shots of rear ends.

This guy's voice grates on the nerves. Course in sports they want that "tough" sound. Boy George would never make it as a sportscaster.
