Actually, Anon. 11:59, the original "Rocky" was very well-received. In fact, it won three Oscars (Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Editing) and was nominated for seven additional Oscars (Best Actor, Best Actress, two Best Supporting Actors, Best Music, Best Sound, and Best Screenplay).

Don't tell me I'm gonna get sucked in again by Rocky! The critics hate the movies, but the people like them. That's why there are sequels...
