According to a release sent out by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (that’s PETA to you), Arcuri will be clad in "nothing but shackles and covered in ’scars’ as a result of violent ‘beatings’–an everyday reality for animals in circuses.”

When it comes to having breakfast, the chicken gets involved, but the pig is definitely committed.
She probably owns a dog or cat or something else she keeps in captivity. She probably has makeup or implants that were first tested on animals kept in captivity, and she has probably taken medicines that were first tested on animals in captivity in order to make sure she was safe in taking them. And being in the wild is no picnic for an animal. Basically, you're trying to find food, water and shelter all the time; and at other times you're trying not to have something else bite you, hold you down while its friends come and start to eat you while you are alive. We have these ridiculous human fantasies that somehow an animal in a zoo "dreams of being free". Well, they don't. Their life is what they know. They have no concept that they are "missing out" on all the fun of starving to death and being eaten in the wild.
Circus animals get beat all the time.

Amen, 1:26. These animal "activists" make me LOL. On the other hand, downright animal cruelty as defined in state statutes DOES upset me, and is a real problem.

People should contribute to the protection of animals in any way they can. Be it on a small or large scale. Robin is obviously doing her part. I could care less whether she owns a pair of leather shoes. What's better to own 100 pair of leather shoes or one pair? What's better? To eat meat everyday or to eat it once in a while? It looks to me as though Robin is doing far more for animals than the idiots in here bitching about it.

Robin Arcuri is gorgeous. I met her before when she was doing one of her protests here in NY. I got to hold the sign too. She really does a lot for animal rights. It takes courage and guts to demonstrate what happens to these animals.
