our waitress this afternoon said it is a soft opening, so they are not making a big deal of it yet.
i thought it was very good. they will get dinner business from my family. small menu, but that is expected from a babe's business. its quality of quanity.

I like what they've done to the exterior.

Anything is better than fast food joints.

I wish them well!

12:24 waitress said it was a soft opening and they are not making a big deal of it yet! Waiting 40 minutes for lunch to be brought food you didn't order was a big deal to our group yesterday. People were waiting, looking around and squirming in their chairs! There wasn't much room to squirm...The tables and chairs are so close together, all the waitresses are pencil thin...however, it took some major sucking up the stomach to make way to the back tables!

The wrong food brought out by the waitress who started saying I'm sorry, I'm sorry, the cook got the order mixed up before we had a chance to say anything....We were going to send the order back (so it could go to the people who ordered it)but found out it would be another 15 minutes (ha,ha,ha) before we got to eat...one hour from walking through the door at lunch time...
So we left asking not to pay for our drinks...then we were told we would have to wait to talk to the manage. We left more than enough money to pay for the drinks..went on to our point of destination where we enjoyed a turkey, swiss, avacado on pretzel bread! The drive was less time than we spent waiting in Sweetie Pies...
Not a big deal yet....a soft opening that left a sour taste in our mouths and I only tasted one overcooked french fry on the plate!

The food was FANTASTIC! last night - salad w/bacon dressing, good baked potatoes and the steak was perfect - we will be back.

One glich was the very inexperienced waitress (it was her first night) gave no information - we had to drag it all out of her. She was confusing when explaining the entrees (2 steaks for $19) - we thought we were ordering only one order - we got 2 orders - FOUR STEAKS!! Needless to say we took food home but it was $40 instead of $19 - we just decided to suck it up but next time we will be sure to order only one order.

The sweet tea was VERY SWEET - I cut it w/plain. the rolls were WONDERFUL - my son kept asking the waitress for more. The place looked great - nice to see them taking care of a building on the square. I think it will be a big draw to the square. We will be back - w/a plan next time.

Are the steaks as good as the ones at Cowcamp?

Just ate there. Food and service was good. I will go again.

Just ate there. Food and service was good, but I will probably skip the return trip simply because it was not.....it was just......well cannot light the word in my maybe "average"

anon at 7:06 -- you must connected with a local business, because you are complaining about nothing. lets see, they have been open 3 days, did you not think they would be a little slow? thats why they have not had a grand opening. i have been to frillys many times over the years and they are stills low and the food still sucks. so im not sure why you are crying. as for the closeness of the tables, anyone who has been to babes should had already expected that, that is they way they have there restaurants. sweetie pie's is no different. its not the best layout in my opinion, but it is the style of the company.
will i not go there because of it? hell no. i will go there because the food is exceptional, and yes, it was better than cow camp.

3:28...Waiting 40 minutes can be overlooked for the opening...but the waitress bringing us food we didn't order is not crying over nothing! The resturants in Wise County can't handle a lunch crowd! Unless you have over an hour for lunch before going back to work. Tried all of them!

It is so funny that you think the complaint was planted by another returant owner!

Didn't eat the wrong food order but it looked average.

If you enjoy eating in a big room elbow to elbow then Sweetie Pies is your place...you can share your conversation with everyone around you.

Not giving up yet...will try it one more time with another waitress. Will not gossip or tell any secrets for sure!

The tables are not that close, and not everyone in the place wants to hear your conservations anyway. Sounds like a whiner to me.

I think hubby and I will give it a couple of weeks so they can work out the "kinks" then try it out!

We love Babe's so we figure this otta be great too.

We ate there sat night and was wondering how much it was going to be, and they only gave us butter knives. Needless to say for the 2 of us it was $36, and yes you could cut the steak with a butter knofe. And the pecan pie was wonderful. We'll be back!!!
